Looks like s regular Aitor model... not too familiar with the shield though... hopefully our Spanish friends can provide more info...

Aitor used to be subcontracted by Victorinox for the 108mm GAKs

The inscription on the blade gave me some clues ... This model is called the Gran Patrurllero

Yes, I found them here on eBay for about $47 shipped. I thought they were the 108mm size SAK.

They look ok, but not what I was looking for after all. Thanks for the help!

Chances are, if it's a new model  that it's made in China these days and nowhere near as good as they were before.

Made in China, post 2002 Aitor era (when they outsourced and changed country of production, going from "Proudly made in Spain" to "Cheaply made in China")

They are the "Gran (Big)" series. Gran Montañero (Big Mountaineer), Gran Patrullero (Big Patrol) etc.
Cheap scales, soft steel, not worth their price.

Old company changed direction (ala Gerber or Schrade) and now overcharges for inferior quality products
I'd say avoid, and unless you get it for $10 I would pass on it   :salute:

go for the old ones if you want an Aitor   :tu:

Yeah I’m out. It just caught my eye and tickled for a few, but I quickly scratched that itch and now I’m over it.

Haha
