I posted a few days ago asking on how to remove the beaten up "swisstool" logo on a MT that I was getting at a great price.
So I finally got the tool!
One can tell this thing worked hard for a living...
The sheath was beaten up and worn nearly completely through. The tools dirty, blades dull, logo chipped, interiors full of debris. So in MultiTool.org lingo: it had buckets of "character".
But man did this thing clean up nicely! I washed it with scalding hot water and dish soap, took a mini bristle brush to it, left it surgically clean.
Then removed the remaining pieces of the logo with a new single edged razor blade lubricated by water and WALA! logo removed without a mark.
Sharpened the blades...added a touch of oil and worked it onto the bases of the tools.
It's like a new tool...albeit without a sheath..but still..a real beauty.
All that's left are those nearly invisible micro scratches that one can only see when the light hits it a certain way.
I love the feel of this multi; carried it around the house today in my hand like a little kid, it's a standard square tool, yet somehow it feels great in my hands.

I bet Felinevet can fix you up with one.

I bet it was a bit of a challenge to open the tools on it before the 'clean up' :D :D
Many of my fingernail's have felt the 'joy' only a gummed up SwissTool can give :( :( :D :D :D

YES
I had only experienced sore fingertips from opening/closing Leatherman mt's and dedicated folders...but man sore fingernails is a unique feeling(not pleasant)
If only I could stop opening and closing the tool for no reason!
-Pics are coming ;)

BT you really do need to find yourself an unloved & neglected Swisstool , you too can then experience the joy/pain :pok: :D :D
