Title: [CLOSED] FS: Complete Fuse collection.
Post by: captain spaulding on March 26, 2018, 08:28:10 PM
The only model Leatherman I ever wanted to have a complete collection of is the Fuse. I completed that goal a while back and have been enjoying knowing I have these. Sadly, cash is very tight for me now and the Fuse collection has to go on the chopping block. I believe I have all the production Fuses here as well as the old lock variants. I really hope someone aquires this collection and enjoys and appreciates it as much as I have!

On a side note, I had a knifeless Fuse. Sold it. Then years later tried to find another and that was a adventure. It took me almost 2 years to find another Knifeless Fuse! By far the hardest Fuse to find for me. Finally found a NIB Knifeless though!

I will do the list side by side by SS and BO so it is easier to visualize the variants.

Here is the list:

SS, NIB   /   BO, NIB
SS, CC, NIB   /   BO, CC, LNIB
SS, Knifeless, NIB
SS, Old Lock, LN   /   BO, Old Lock, Used but in really good condition
SS, Camo, Exc cond   /   BO, Camo, Exc cond
Orange, NIB with LED Lenser H5 headlamp

The Camo Fuses do not have sheaths.

There’s the list ladies and gents. If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask either here or through PM. Thank you for your consideration everyone.

Now for the other stuff:

I would like to keep this in the United States please.

Payment I can accept is: USPS Money Order, Cashiers Check, or Chase Quick Pay.

I will ship everything in either a medium or large flat rate priority box depending on if I can get it all in a medium flat rate or not. Either way it will not effect the cost to you. Shipping will be included in the sale.

Now for the price. I am asking $480 Shipped.

Thank you all once again for looking!  :salute:

Meaning the older ones are designed like the SOGs?

Since there is a lack of interest for the entire collection I will most likely be breaking up the set. Pricing to come soon. Given I am breaking up the set I may keep the Knifeless Fuse unless someone wants to pay what I did for it. Thank you all for looking and I will get prices up as soon as I can.

A few are on hold for the time being:

SS Camo
BO Camo
Orange with H5 headlamp
SS CC

How much for the knifeless fuse?

Like I mentioned that is probably the only Fuse I will keep. I believe I payed $75 for it. The only reason I ever payed that much was because I had been searching for one for years and it was the last Fuse I needed to complete the collection. Oh and it is NIB. I’m probably going to keep it but if I do decide to sell it I would have to get what I payed for it. If I change my mind and you are willing to pay that I will give you first go at it.

Boss, I hate to be the one to break this to you.. Once the whole collection is broken up, its does not seems that attractive anymore.. Furthermore.. Though personally I feel that Fuse is a excellent tool, its outdated as perceived by many. Most modern users prefers new models..

I beg to differ. Not a lot of people are going to drop close to $500 for a entire Fuse collection. Breaking up the set is the best thing to do as others may be interested in individual tools. I will be putting them in a new sale thread as others may see the title and think it’s still a entire collection for sale. On a separate note the Fuse is absolutely not outdated and a incredible tool in its own right. People still buy and use all Leathermans from all time periods. Your trying to tell me that no one wants to buy or use a PST or original Supertool? That’s absolutely not the case and just because it is your opinion does not make it correct or the views of others. I would choose to carry a Fuse over half the “modern” tools Leatherman is producing at the moment.

Guy's let's put a lid on this and keep it friendly.  This is getting into the personal attack region and we don't put up with that here.

Capt, I see where I had done wrong here and I truly apologise for that. It was my oversight for going into that direction. I hope you understand I really have no ill intention and the wrong impression that was grossly projected was never ever what I intended. That little thing u said got me over my head earlier. I sincerely wish u have a good and quick sales.  :salute:

Thank you for your apology and I do sincerely apologize myself. We let it get out of hand and took things personally which I should of never let happen. Thank you again and I do apologize as well.

I can see both arguments here. I like my Rebar and love the PST.  Also, I own a Blast (similar vintage and construction as the Fuse) and it is still one of the best tools going.

Tough to get a full collection at a big price, but a Fuze lover would really appreciate it. Yet parting out can make individual items available to market.

Best of luck selling these, Capn.
