While most animation isnt that specific in regards to actual weapons I have found that the anime Gunslinger Girl can get very specific with its firearms, although knives are rarely seen beyond generic tactical tantos.
So it took me off guard when in this brief knife fight one of the characters pulled out what is drawn to be an Applegate combat folder with green handle scales.
Even the screw placement is correct.
It is an awful lot of detail concidering it is only seen in this manner for a second, then all you see is a genericly drawn blade whipping about as the fight ensues, until another quick blade close up at the end of the fight.

That is definitely a Gerber Applegate there! That's pretty cool! I can't say I have ever seen a knife I recognized from the real world in any Anime I've ever watched. I always figured real world stuff was far too mundane for Anime stuff.
