I've got a LM Crater 33T. I am pretty happy with it. I have EDC'd it a lot. Love the fact that you can open every tool with one hand. It is however a little bulky in the pocket compared to a SAK.
-
Count me in .
I own a Crater c33L and an Expanse e33T, I cary them in my pocket or clipped on the shoulderstrap of my backpack when I have my Leatherman ST300 on my belt, so I have my "one-hand-opening-knife" needs covered ;).
Love them both :tu:.

Here are a few of mine
-
I have one. Love it.
One thing to watch out for: The inside of the scales are hard and sharp. If you don't break those edges, you might slice your finger open (like I did) when using the quick deployment nub on the back of the blade.
The screwdrivers are FAR superior to those on even Vic SAKs. The half-and-half blade is also very good. Strong, pops right out, once the pivot bolt is loosened a bit.
One-handed carabiner? Meh.
I never carry it though: no toothpick. Shallow, I know, but when you need a toothpick and can't find one, it is frustrating. ;)

Welcome to the club :tu:
Thanks all of you for your support :salute:

I'm in. Gave my dad my first crater. Missed it and found another at TJ Maxx last year.
Good knives IMO. :tu:

I like this set up !

I have a C33B and have to say I am a little disappointed with it. It is OHO only if you're right handed. And there is no way to swap it over because of the bit driver. If it were OHO for a leftie, I'd be quite happy with it (although the scales are a bit unfinished for my tastes).

I have to agree with you on the scales and the oho is not all that great. I will carry it with a juice. One thing about the scales is the don't get jacked up like a sak.

Took a dremel and made the thumb slot a little bigger. Much easier to flick open.

I love the crater series. I currently own a C33tx, and an E55bx. I have previously owned a c55bx as well. I love everything about the design. The phillips and the flat head (c33tx) are an amazing size, and the bottle opener works like a dream. I like the size of the blade on the C55/E55 and the option of using other bits. I'm not as fond of the bottle opener on these models and I find myself not using it as often as my crater.
I think that the C33 is an often underrated knife suggestion when people are looking for cheap EDC blades and I hardly ever see it being recommended on other forums when someone is asking for a budget knife. The crater constantly outperforms knives that I have paid more for.
Currently the crater is my carry at home option.

Id love to see a C33 with wooden scales.
Will the scales be rigid enough?

Working on, kind of a fine line between to thick or to thin.

I guess its the same as when making wooden bows. If its too thick you can always remove more wood. If its too thin, you a have big problem.

Nice one Aloha :tu:. It is going to be a user?
-
As much as I love using Limited Edition, leave it be
-
It wont see any pocket time mostly due to having other knives that I just picked up. It was only $20 from LM web site so maybe I'll grab another and at least carry it off days.
-
Just a standard C33. Great beater EDC knife. Heres my youtube video of it being used, somewhat clumsily. Good music though.

I'm in, though I wish they were easier to open by us left handed owners. I have been carrying one of the first two knives in the photo each day for several weeks.
The straight and Philips screwdrivers on the first two knives work great and I prefer these tools over my Victorinox SAKs.

I got a kick out of this photo from the Roark Revival Facebook page. Hoefully, you'll enjoy it as well

Hi everybody. I'm new here. I recently picked up a leatherman knife to replace my lost c33tx. I bought it used and can't find any info on it. It looks like a c302 but with screwdrivers or a c304 with different grips. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What you got there looks like a member of the c/e300 series, which is the model made BEFORE the c/e33.(NOTE: "e" denotes metal handle constructions)
The model you have has been retired and is no longer made. Hence, it's a collectors item. :tu: So GUARD IT WITH YOUR LIFE

I am so in. I had a C304 and wanted a combo blade. Then I caught a brand new c305 on ebay last week :mail: I like the 304-305 series because the scales are much more appealing than the new crater series. The craters look cheap imo. Merely cosmetic of course. I am very glad to have the 305 now. (http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/19/66d5877cb863fec3129ff50c9d35be63.jpg)

Rereading the original post is this a crater/c33... club or a lm knife in general club? If it isn't a lm knife club I am out
-
I don't think you'll be judged too harshly :D
Mine, my favorite knife I've ever edc'd, it held a great edge, was easy to sharpen, strong enough I could actually use it, and inexpensive and common enough I wasn't afraid to just carry it, drop it, etc. Love this knife, definitely has proved its value.
Love the tip strength too. An impressive entry in the sub-$20 category, for sure.

Of course you are welcome :tu: If you don't have a Crater. Don't panic! Just buy a C33 Crater the first chance you get! Tis cheaper than joining a freemason lodge
-
Add me to the club, I just picket up a C33 yesterday!
Matt
-
I've carried this mostly almost everyday except for the rare time when I carry a Vic Tinker or Gerber EAB. I've thought about getting another mt but the C33T carries most of my needs.

Joe, if you like C33T then you must try Kershaw Select Fire, I think it is a way better alternative, I am using it in my week long challenge, stay tuned.

I like mine on my keychain but the clip isn't reliable enough. I want to remove the carabiner & replace it with a ring or something else. Any ideas ?

I cleaned mine, polished the washers and now i have a smooth opening on all the tools.
-
I like that it's so easy to strip & clean. The solution to my problem was staring me in the face. I plan to use an old key to make up a ring to replace the carabiner.

I have c33L, and have used it for about 7 yrs as a work knife doing most likely things a knife is not to do. As result the tip has been broken and blade profiled and sharpen for continuous action.
It is now work bench knife. Yet very sharp and handy for tracing out patterns and slicing material that maybe a scissors would normally handle. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190613/3226e1ef9c20e7afd10d373a8e9e661c.jpg)also, have a new one in the knife box with other like blades and another yet in plastic shell.
Never was able to master the flipper, best was to open blade about 50%...
