You'll only see the name on one side of the main or large blade.  That's pretty much true of any knife maker.

If you did not get it... I have one. Nice scales and small blade, the large blade is in rough shape.

Hi everyone
i don't wanna open another thread but the question is the same. The stamp seem ok, but i can't see what's below it if there is something else written :/
How much could it worth? It's from 1944

p.s. if this stuff it's too newbie feel free to shut it down :)

Yup, it’s a 1944 Elsener soldier made by Victorinox. :tu:

As i saw only the ELSENER stamp i tough it could have been one of this (Even though the font seems slightly different)

Nice findings! Contact Victorinox, they might be able to restore them for you.

Vic can restore these knives but they have to destroy the original scales before being able to service it.
They then fashion new scales.

If the knife is not considered as waranty work, take note that the restoration cost may run up to $80 easily.

Sure about that? Maybe they can preserve the scales. Not so much the blades, they seem really worn out...

The only way the scales are coming off is via breaking?  :dunno:

i haven't win it yet. But for 20-25$ i could get it. But i guess then i will keep it like that. I don't mind having some worn ones, for now. I just started collecting them, with 80$ i can get another 3-4 knives :D

HI everyone
newbie question again.
I can't understand which model is this. I can only see it has 2 layers. I tought it was a cadet, but the shape seems more "oval", like an excelsior (but of course it's not). Can you help me?
Thank you  :)

Which is quite reasonable. I paid $20 with shipping for my 1942, with heavy wear.
