Nice! I have six, but they´re all singles. I have yet to venture into the realm of multiblade Gardeners. :like:

The black ones have brass liners and cost more than the red ones.
The red ones have aluminium liners and weigh less.
The black pruner is my favorite.

Might join the club soon!

Nice thread, i love these knives, they have been on my radar for quite some time, i only have one though, a Felco branded single blade that for now i cant lay my hands on
-
This Vic has been with me the longest, since 1986, and was my second Vic knife ever. When I bought it I was carrying a Super Tinker, which is long gone now, but this one stayed in my toolbox for grafting and budding duties, of which it helped do a fair amount. I still have occasional use for it. I will say that it has always held a keen edge and has bit me on more than one occasion. :D

Colorful flower knives are beautiful. :like:
I have a few 100 mm Victorinox gardener knives. But I like 110 mm series with wood handles too (Victorinox Pruning Knife 1.9200 in the picture). They are very well made, but a little bit expensive.

Nice pic Ron. What's the blade shape of the fourth knife down all about? Is the top side of the blade sharp as well?

It´s the same knife as in twiliter´s pic. The top end of the blade has a bevel but isn´t sharpened, it´s used to lift the bark of the host when grafting.

:tu: Thanks for the reply.

I only have one, and carry it very rarely (mostly on dressy clothes and inside a pouch or caddy, because it lacks clips, bails or attachment points)

I have been using one of the Gardener Pruner knives and a Day Packer knife in my wood whittling projects. I have read they have higher rockwell rating than normal Victorinox knives (which I have used for years) and I have found they cut well and hold an edge longer than normal Victorinox knives. Bryan

I've got a red Gardener and a black Daypacker. Will post pics when I get home tonight. I like the 100mm Vics.
-
Wish they had some sort of keyring, hole, thingie

They are super sharp, mine was shaving sharp when I got it, and it's done it's job over the years with minimal edge maintenance. I always wondered if it was a different grade of stainless than the SAKs.

These are only three gardening Vic's i have. I don't use them very often, but i like to have them in my collection.
-
Managed to get these two.

Would be really interested in getting the black scales, bronze (?) liners versions. Looks sexy as hell

The liners are brass, not bronze. I agree on the looks!
-
Pruners. The red one has aluminium liners and weighs 34.3 grams. The black one with brass liners weighs in at 49.0 grams.

One of mine is Felco branded too.
-
Grafters. The black one is the coolest knife definitely.

Thanks. I forgot the word and went with something close enough

I've acquired and desecrated a 100 mm now :) all in the name off whittling ofc. Takes a bit to get used to whittling with a chisel grind but the steel is definitely better on the edge retention side!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180327/1be9e6a9d58fc3b2176a146cd544ba78.jpg)

I still don´t have one with a wharncliffe blade...
-
The wharncliffe is my favorite blade design, very nice for delicate work.
The big one in the middle has a very “active” back spring, surely would not want to close that on my finger. 😳

Mfw I bid on a black gardener on eBay, re raise to stay on top only to realise it can't be shipped to Sweden anyway.
Why can I even bid on that item grrr(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180603/36cfccf93965fc628530720e31301b9b.jpg)

I know the feeling. A certain Dutch online shop had a few, until I tried to order. They changed their status to out of stock within seconds.
