Here is the day 1 pic of an Ozark Trail multitool. :)
-
Good luck. I'm interested in seeing what you can do with a $4 multi tool. :multi:
-
I'd like to join with a "mossey oak" tool I have, but am doing a 30 day challenge right now. But, will be watching with interest.
Good luck with the Ozark Trail. One of those was among my first MT purchases and it lives in the toolbox in my car. :)
-
Thanks gerleatherberman. Day two pic with a reaching grabber tool.
-

1st day, flat drivers are awfully soft and bends easily. Opening my kids nightlamp was succesful with this MT. Tried to tighten screw today wirh this but only twisted flat heads(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180716/3a535dda918a0a0af65ef5017eac3f40.jpg)

Sounds familiar. Used a <$10 BenchPro MT the other day to change a lamp socket. The flat blade twisted with just 1/20th of the force I would have exerted with my nicer tools.
Good luck to both of you on this 7 day challenge. It will definitely be a challenge. :ahhh

Day 3. Pic of the Ozark Trail with a Thor hammer. :D
-
Not sure if Thor approves. :pok: :D
Edit: how are the drivers holding up on the OT? I've used the $3.88 OT MT before, but not the drivers.
-

-
2nd day i used my cheap MT alongside Supertool today, pliers were suprisingly good to hold . Used it when i repaired my car(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180717/d0b20f951931d7d0e86bfee823e28b32.jpg)

Day 4. Ozark Trail with a classic GI-Joe. :)
-
Looking good, guys ! :like:
-
Classic G.I. Joe? Are you kidding? My G.I. Joe in the early 1970's was 11 inches tall, had real fuzzy hair and a full beard, and of course, the famous Kung Fu grip. I also had Jungle Jim. He didn't have a beard, but he could swing a machete. Your classic G.I. Joe is nothing but plastic. ::) At least now you know, and knowing is half the battle. ;)

Day 5. Ozark Trail with a box of PG Tips tea.😊

Like this! :tu:

Yeah, like that. :like:
Sometimes my little sister would join in the fun with her "fashion" dolls, and G.I. Joe would kick that skinny surfer dude, Ken, out of the pink Corvette, and show Barbie what a real man was.

Iron Man, maybe you could post a few pics of the tool in use as well, that's the best part of these challenges - at least for me -, seeing what the tools are capable of, especially like this one, a cheap off-brand MT. You could also show the tool loadout, I'm interested. :pok: ;)

Ok.

Ok.

Day 6. Ozark Trail with GI-Joe. The Ozark Trail has 2 blades,a can opener, a few screwdrivers and an awl. Possibly a few others. :)
-
4th day. Blade was enough good to cut paracord when sharpened it, tried to use file/fishscaler/ruler today but only useable is ruler. My mt has Fishscaler/file/ruler, awl, 3d philips, 3 diffrent size flatdrivers, can opener, blade, pliers with wirecutters and maybe something else what i havent discovered yet(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180719/366f2d07dd34e9b71d0647053f24eda1.jpg)

Hey I R 2,
Are you going to write up a quick synopsis about your experiences with the OT MT?
I'd like to know your thoughts with it, as people ask me every now and then, if their "gift basket" OT MT is worth carrying.
If you don't have the time, that is cool too. I understand that one.
Antti,
The same for you, if you have the time. How is the no-brand tool working for you?
-
The Ozark Trail is an okay MT. But it would not be my first choice. I think it is well built but would much rather have a Gerber or Leatherman. :multi:
-
Antti you should post your Zippo on the Saks + Zippos thread.

Thanks.

7th and last day. Used pliers to hold nut when i turned bolt with monkeywrench also used can opener and philips.
Weight this has 219g and lenght 10cm.
it has comfort grip on both handles and handles wont snip you when squeezing. Philips is actually really good and can opener is regular. Blade wasnt sharp but with little grinding whit wheatstone maded it sharp. Awl is like all awls also fishscaler was like all but file wasnt any good
Its pretty good in pocket cause it has no sharp edges and somekind plastic/rubber mix. Only bad side of this MultiTool would definetly be soft and easily bending flat drivers what i bended and twisted when used to open screws.
All tool are accesible on outside but not with one hand.
Overall rating to this tool would be 3/5
If no better MT available i would choose this.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180722/5f645ab90966e16810f2ec37a79ce373.jpg)

3 / 5 for an off brand tool is pretty good. Congratulations on completing your challenge.
-
Thanks, this tool is overall is pretty good if forget how easily large bit drive bends if using regular forge to unscrew things what are tight
