Tomorrow starts the actual run of 29 days so here is my Champion Plus. It already got a workout helping to patch a 1-square-foot hole a closet wall (left by the plumber after a repair.)
-
Day 1
Ready to start work.
-
Day 2
A couple of pictures of the emergency pocket suspension clip rigged up from items found in my desk drawer at work: a shirt pocket clip for an ID badge and a once-ubiquitous item called a paper clip, now becoming moribund in the paperless office of the future. (Patent and "Shark Tank" appearance pending)

+1
It is an important tool for me too. If I have to tighten up my glasses, I use the mag lens to show me the screw head's slot position so I know where the mini screwdriver fits in at. I also use to use it alot for looking at coins for dates/condition as well as some jewelry to see what carat it is! :)

Same for me guys. Either tightening the screws on glasses or reading the alergens smallprint on packaged food as we have gluten intolerance in the family ;)

Brilliant pocket suspension clip idea! Plus you'll have a MacGyver paperclip on hand too!

Thanks. Not needed with jeans - the watch pocket is a perfect pouch but slacks are not as versatile.
-
Day 11
Opening a box.
-
Day 12
My EDC (except my cell phone which is taking the picture).
-
Day 13
A real pocket suspension clip to replace the one from Day 2!
-
Day 14
SHopping again at the evil empire.
-
Day 15
Here is my Champion Plus with its 14 brothers obtained in an auction. I have identified each type and age (detron's aids) but have not yet cleaned them up. Most will probably be put up on eBay but I haven't decided each knifes's fate. The green one by itself is a Deluxe Tinker, the only pliers among the group.
-
Day 16
Champion Plus and next largest SAK, a Deluxe Tinker.

Nice setup. I was looking at getting a Deluxe Tinker so I could take the plier's off and put them on an Explorer! That would be sweet! :)

Yes, I could put the pliers on the Champion Plus and have a Swiss Champ. It probably would make more sense to sell them and buy a Swiss Champ, but it wouldn't be as fun or rewarding!
-
Day 17
Part of my EDC; a Lumapower Avenger RX (200+ lumens on a 10440 Li-Ion and a Tech4O Traileader Pro watch (Chronometer, altimeter, atmospheric pressure, temperature, heart rate monitor, compass, walking/running pedometer, weather predictor - amazingly accurate showing how dependent weather is on changing atmospheric pressure.)
Hey, I could be due for some badges.

Yeah, I am sure it would just be easier to buy a Swisschamp. I am referring to adding the plier's to an Explorer. I was curious if you had a need for the plier's or if something came up in your monthly challenge that you wish you had the plier's? :)

I haven't needed the pliers yet, this month, but it's only a matter of time before they are the tool that's perfectly suited to a task at hand. Most of the time I need pliers it's for smaller pliers not heavy-duty visegrips so the SAK pliers would usually suffice.
