Title: RAF Seiko back from a service...........

Hi,

my 1996 issued Seiko Gen. 2  RAF 'fast jet' navigator's watch arrive back from a service at Seiko UK today with all functions working as they should........

These watches were issued to RAF Tornado navigators beginning in 1994..........

Beautiful watch! Nice and simple and easy to read.Is it quartz or mechanical? Don't believe I've seen one like that before.

Hi Ray,

it's a quartz watch, the 2nd type of quartz chrono used by the RAF (I also have the 1st type), here are the MOD markings on the caseback..........

The upper two rows show the NSN code, the lower numbers show the issue number (0006) and the year of issue (96).

I really like this watch but unfortunately due to other commitments I am now selling it :(

Ok, good luck with the sale. I was going to make an offer but that's too much for me.  :P
