Has anyone used a Brooks B190 (http://www.brooksengland.com/catalogue-and-shop/saddles/city+%26+heavy+duty/B190/#sidecontents) cycling saddle? Hefty price tag, wonder how many multitools I would have to trade to get one. Comes highly recommended for butt comfort, especially for those of us with wider sit bones.

The B190 is the newest of our heavy duty saddles, featuring double rear coil springs and a double loop front spring. Seating comfort is accounted for by the largest leather top Brooks manufactures.
MADE IN ENGLAND
Roughly $194 at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Brooks-Saddles-Bicycle-Saddle-Chrome/dp/B001EIE3OQ). About the price of the last dentist visit. I so need to hit a small lotto already! $10,000 would be nice, get the credit card paid off and get a recumbent trike. :D :tu:

I've got a B67 which has brilliant comfort, and that looks even better :)

Same here. Everyone I know who has used them loves them. They do need a good bit of time to break in though from what I hear.

+1 on that San Marcos for me. I still use them though I would love to get a Fizik or a Koobi.

There is a theory that as part of the break-in process the rider's posterior is being toughened up at approximately the same rate as the saddle is being "broken-in" ;)

Send e-correspondence to Brooks and they replied the next day:
We would recommend the B190 model.
$195 is a lot for a bicycle saddle. Then I poked around and found two videos on their saddle history & old age construction that still continues on to today. :tu: Also would require a seat sandwich that allows a 2 rail saddle to be fitted onto a cycling post.

Now I can see why these are so expensive. Guess they would not be interesting in a partial trade of a Wenger S557?

I've met a few people who swear by them, but my understanding is they take months of regular riding to break in, and they are hellish until they are broken in. When I was in college and working as a bicycle mechanic, one of the owners of a shop I worked in for a while had a nick-name for Brooks saddles... he called them "prostate-pounders"...

For what its worth mine took about two weeks of commuting (15 miles a day) it (and my ass!) were broken in :)
