Love the Lego collection! :like:Only in European countries? I rwallu have no idea, bit I do know that Dutch fans spend a lot of money on Lego. Especially the big modular houses are very expensive…
It seems to be very popular with adults in European countries close to Denmark. :D

That is true. For that we need DNA samples.
Glad you decided to share a bit more with us. I really like the lego city. Keysmart, I want to try one and the one you've shown is really nice.I ordered the white KeySmart two weeks ago. Just a few days after they also released a red and a slate one. They're really nice too.
Oooohhh look at all those Lego Modulars! :drool:They're so nice to build. I want to buy the Diner next…

Nice.
I have exactly zero of them. And I'm going to keep it that way... I know that if I buy one, I will want the rest too. And some have become so expensive...
Hi Serena!Wow, thank you for the compliment.
Just wanted to say that thanks for hanging around again and popping up, your Avatar pic always brings a smile to my face, especially if I've had a bad day. :)
Which is appropriate, because in my tongue (Spanish) the word "Serena" means "Peaceful, calm, quiet" and has a secondary connotation that means "that brings tranquility, joy, peace and/or happiness, or a feeling of well-being". :angel: It is an adjective used to describe, for instance, a beach, a sunny evening after a rainy day, a slow paced classical music opera or the sleep of a baby. :salute:
Very good and adequate name for you!! :cheers:

I watch my grandkids assemble their kits, with even looking at instructions. I treat them like a 3-D puzzle.
I have a few kits here at home, and it is fun to see what the younger ones (10 and under) dream up. The older 3, prefer full fledged expensive kits to display in their rooms, makes Christmas shopping a little easier for them.
My daughter loves Lego too:Well, who doesn't?!

The strong, silent type, that police officer. :DYep, he has a little problem. Unable to speak…
Hello, Serena!Don't mind at all!
I'm just the village idiot, but am a fan of multi function tools/gadgets as well. :)
Hope you don't mind if I follow your corner thread. :cheers:
Oh, looks like Bill would have fun visiting with you...... :DHas he been in The Netherlands already?
Seeing al these topics about SAK mods made me think about what would be my perfect SAK.
If I could choose, this would be the items I want in my knife.
* Large blade
* Scissors
* Nail file with nail cleaner
* Bottle opener
* Can opener
* Phillips screwdriver (magnetic)
* Corkscrew
* Digital scales
* Bit wrench
* Bit case
* Tweezers
* Toothpick
* Stainless steel pin
* Mini screwdriver
* Pen
* LED
Hmmm :think: :think:. That sound suspiciously like a CyberTool in its original tool complement, minus the LED, nail file, magnetic Phillips and digital scales (you mean the scale with barometer/altimeter/clock etc. and not a digital weighing tool, right?). The CT Phillips is in the (4mm) bit wrench and non-magnetic, alas...
I can, just barely and very dimly, see a possible mod involving some Midnite Manager tools: let the small magnetic Phillips replace the CT's hook, the nail file replace the CT's awl and somehow get the LED into a new scale for the CT...? That would only leave the digital scale missing... Not sure if it's possible to put 58 mm tools into a 91 mm's rear side but I'll let the experts chime in on that.

Take a Cybertool Lite, remove the pliers, replace the small blade with a 84mm nail file and slap some digital scales on. :tu: It might be more cost effective to start with an XAVT...

Serena, so sorry to hear about your hard times and also sorry you felt bullied. As has been stated people tend to run with these things, I posted a dancing pickle and for that I'm sorry. I only meant to be humorous :facepalm:
Please stick around as this place is better for having you with us :tu:
:hug:
Call me childish, but 22 pages long people have been sending stupid pictures because I said I don't like pickles.
Well, I also don't like being bullied. So, I'm stepping out of this Christmas giveaway. Seriously thinking about leaving here. One or two, okay, not hundreds. Tried to change the topic. Didn't work… Bye bye!!!
Sorry to read this news. I'm sure you'll weather these hard times.

OK, I have to recant that previous statement. Sometimes I have NO idea what Fuzzbucket is saying. But otherwise, we've got a marvelous group of people here who help those of us who are language-limited talk about knives and tools!
We were waiting for you to come back and explain the screen shot...... :dunno:If you use the '[/]' button it adds the [ ] for you and you can paste your link, gif, whatever. So easy!!

Hey Serena,
I'm very sorry. I think I did post some pickles related things too. But I was not aware that being related to yourself, but rather an excuse of creating posts to get to a winning count for the giveaway.
We are childish in a way from time to time for sure. My apologies for any misunderstanding :angel:
As I said in the Lego thread... "Good to have you here" :hatsoff:

I like it a lot Matt. Pretty much all the tools you need.

Just heard that my dad is being hospitalized tomorrow. This means he'll probably have his surgery on thursday.
Don't think I'll be online much.
Sounds like everything is under control then...that’s a good thing right?No it's not. After we got home we got a phone call they saw something else on the scans. Have to go back tomorrow.
Sorry to hear that. Keep us posted.
Can't really say anything until he gets a petscan (is that correct in English?) on Monday.

+1 Take care of yourself too Serena.
Hey, Serena. Thanks for checking in.They're keeping him asleep. If he wakes up he's really restless and then they can't remove his breathing tube. He also has a fever. Sleep isn't bad, but for us, the family, it's taking too long. You know what I mean.
Is the medical team keeping him asleep? As part of his recovery? Or did they expect him to be awake by now?
Hope things improve for you and your Dad! :tu:
He woke up!!! Still not really alert, but he's awake and can nod yes or no.
This one?:rofl:

Why hello there :waving:You have to try some things. I think this is pretty bice after carrying it for a couple of days.
Thought I'd join in on this thread :tu:
I like seeing all of the different solutions you come up with for that tec clip :tu:
I hope the pocket organizer is nice :cheers:
:like: :like:
Edit: Oh, its tec, not tek
Nobody likes my Pocket Organizer and chain.
*Sits in a corner and cries*
And with that tec clip, when you go to pull it out, do you have to grab the clip, or the SAK?The clip is on the edge of my pocket. So I can pull out my SAK in one movement by grabbing the clip.
I might try one of those sometime :tu:
Thanks!Nobody likes my Pocket Organizer and chain.
*Sits in a corner and cries*
I just saw it, I like it very much :tu:
Cool, and thank you :hatsoff:
Too bad the clip is like 10 dollars :facepalm:
But I really could use one
I like to use a small lobster clip on mine. Makes it easy to use on different knives or take off if in the way.
I was using a little S-biner, but I found it too bulky. Also when using the knife. The small chain doesn't get in the way.
But everybody has it's own preferences, right?
Just a word of caution about those cheap pocket clips: I bought them a few times, and none of them seem to be properly heat treated so they deform easily. That's how I lost my klarus mx5 or 6 flashlight (the one that uses AAAA batteries and has been discontinued).Unfortunately you can't buy the duo pack of Tec clips in The Netherlands. At least, I haven't found them yet. But the TEC clip is on my SAK, my most important carry.
I think I have some hanging around someplace and I've been thinking of giving them some heat treatment myself to see if that improve things... :think:
The Gerber razor blade tool is a great tool for boxes and stuff you wouldn't want your SAk blade to touch. :like:And replaceable, also not bad…

I've bought three of them so far. :DI saw that today. I guess that means you like them.
Space pens are great :tu:At least it's smaller than the electronics case, so it fits better in my bag…
And nice pouch! Hope it works well :tu:

What is the orange and silver thing in the right side closest to the middle :think: Nice looking set up :like:It's a tripod for the iPhone. And a bottle opener… :D
Thats pretty cool :tu:And I use it often. Perfect for watching a little movie, make a video call, capture a time-lapse. Great little tool!

Me too :D I really can't say enough good about the bullet Space Pen :tu: Most compact and convenient pen out there to me :like:
I've got a little 2-1/2 inch telescoping pen that carries nicely down the side of the pouch. Quite usable once extended. Designed to suspend around the neck...cap is magnetic.Hmmm, then you have a loose cap. I would lose that.

They're also available for micro usb and usb-C slots.
Great idea, :like:That's where that Stanley pen comes in. Those are normal sized bits if I'm correct.
Those smaller bits are great for precision stuff. Will you just twiddle the holder with the bit, or will you put the new holder into a bit extender and use on a MT? Maybe an idea is to have one adapter for these smaller bits fabricated that slips over the Phillips?
...I think they are the mini bit size? You’ll need to check.

Yes that does look normal. Here’s a comparison of the small 4mm and normal 0.25 inch bits next to the adapter. :salute:Yep, I know. I think it'll work.
Nice pen. I prefer blue ink myself vs black ink.Yep, don't even know why pens come with black ink. At work we have to sign with blue ink so you can see it's an original and not a copy.
Nice pen. I prefer blue ink myself vs black ink.Ordered an blue fine refill on Amazon. Problem solved.
Just read through this topic, lots of neat things in here Serena, and I hope your dad is improvingYes, I bought myself some nice stuff lately.
:cheers:

I'm sure you know the story about the the Space Pen and the Russians?
Fact or Fiction?: NASA Spent Millions to Develop a Pen that Would Write in Space, whereas the Soviet Cosmonauts Used a Pencil

Never knew this. But well, I don't like writing with a pencil. So… Hello Space Pen!
The problem of weightless writing was not solved by either Soviet central planning or good old American sub-contracting, but by a private investor and a good idea
In fact, NASA ordered 34 mechanical pencils from Houston's Tycam Engineering Manufacturing, Inc., in 1965. They paid $4,382.50 [$35,000 in 2018 money?] or $128.89 [$1000 in 2018 money?] per pencil.
Paul C. Fisher and his company, the Fisher Pen Company, reportedly invested $1 million [AKA a metric smurfload in 2018 money?] to create what is now commonly known as the space pen. None of this investment money came from NASA's coffers
The AP later noted that both NASA and the Soviet space agency received the same 40 percent discount for buying their pens in bulk. They both paid $2.39 [or about $20 in 2018 money] per pen instead of $3.98.
I didn't know that it was possible to pay $1000 for a mechanical pencil. :rofl:

Nice clips and jacket :tu:Thank you!
Bought a hybride jacket for walks and hikes. I hate to wear normal jackets, they are way too thick and make me 'move' more difficult.
This jacket fits like a glove.

Just received the suspension clips I've ordered on Ali Express.

Not bad at all. Pretty tight, so it grabs good hold of my pocket. Put it on my NiteCore Tube. Like it so far…

Serena, I'm not familiar with this type of carry. How does this work? clip goes on MT/SAK/torch with a short chain/lanyard, and then clip goes on pocket edge? What are these clips originally designed for...suspenders? ??? Sorry for the stupid questions ;)
That's super-neat and discrete!I have a ritual. When I'm at home, lying on the couch, going to bed etc. I always empty my pockets on a big tray on my dining table. Never have stuff in my pockets when I enter the bedroom.
Added bonus is that you're less likely to end up washing things...my wife takes no responsibility for items left in pockets... :ahhh
Nice ones. I've heard good things about Bose's NC headphones.Used them for a couple of hours now and they're amazing. The ANC is perfect, music is really clear. Google Assistant AND Siri.
I just bought my first ever Bose product: a bluetooth speaker. My JBL one broke after a few months :(
Yes I did :)If there's no music, I'm not happy. My house is filled with speakers, downstairs, upstairs, garden. Always carry my AirPods or like now, my headphones.
A bit of an impulse buy, but I'm doing a bit of DIY work in and around the house and I cannot do that without music.
Hang in there Serena :salute:
Looks good!It's heavy, but it fits perfectly in that EDC Pouch. Was the first time I actually used it today. Really like the fact that the pliers are spring loaded.
How are you liking that Gerber of yours?
Thats a fun project. Like the colors a lot. Oh and the Bic :gimme:Nice color on that lighter right? Bought it this week for the EDC Pouch. Used it now to melt the ends of the paracord.

That's so cool!
Didn't he start a thread on shipping something to NL? So that was your mug :)
:hatsoff: Greg. The mug and SAK are wonderful together. The pin is a really nice touch. Congrats Serena.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Greg Jones!!!
Just got an amazing mug in the mail. Goes perfect with my Christmas SAK.
He even threw in a little Canadian pin.

Really happy with it!!!
:iagree:Yep, been using it for a couple of days now and really like it. Already hiked with it and you barely notice it's on your head. Love it!!!
Also like the colours on the bracelet :tu:
Regarding the Bose QC35II, I've also recently acquired one and am very impressed, so much I gave one to Ms D_T too. Some reviews classify the music rendering as al little bit subdued, but I like it that way. The ANC is phenomenal and the set is really light, I can go hours and hours without noticing it's on my head or needing to charge the battery. Use it occasionally for some really immersive computer gaming (fed by a little bluetooth transmitter hooked up to my PC speakers; in case anyone's wondering, Elite:Dangerous is my current game). Built-in mic is reportedly also very clear.
OMG!!:like:
Just ordered a Leatherman Wave+. Form the boss his money!!!
I think it's branded with our work logo, but what the smurf!
Nice selection of keysmarts. I want everything to read my finger print or eyes :rofl: kidding.LOL
Cool flashlight. :tu:Yes, and rechargeable. Even came with an orange cone.
Hi Serena. I am still using cotton hanks I pick up wherever. Nothing special but cheap enough to always have with me. The one in the pic is really nice looking.This one has a microfiber back. Great for cleaning glasses.

Nice to see you back :hatsoff:Thank you!
Ordered the red Victorinox Cybertool M today. Can’t wait for it to arrive!!!Cybertool M is a great tool set; just a little on the chunky side for EDC for my taste.
Nice to see you back Serena. :hatsoff:
Cybertool M is a great tool set; just a little on the chunky side for EDC for my taste.That’s why I’m planning on carrying it in my purse. Ordered a little pouch on Ali Express to carry some EDC stuff in my purse.
A nice and light, but still very capable, carry! :tu: Is there a logo on that sweet red Alox MiniChamp?Yes, the Victorinox logo. Isn’t that normal?
Nice to see you back Serena ! :cheers:
That’s why I’m planning on carrying it in my purse. Ordered a little pouch on Ali Express to carry some EDC stuff in my purse.Good call. Mine lives in my laptop bag.
Yes, the Victorinox logo. Isn’t that normal?Sure is. I should clarify that I was asking if there is a logo on the other side.
Sure is. I should clarify that I was asking if there is a logo on the other side.It only says ‘Victorinox’ on the back…
I am really impressed by the amount of thought and organization that went into this.See the picture with my phone. I always carry a MiniChamp, An Olight and Bullet Space pen in my pockets.
:salute:
Seems like a bit more than I personally would want to carry around, but to each their own.
Do you find it at all cumbersome or annoying to have to open the main bag, find the right pouch, access the desired item, use it, and then reverse the process? Do you carry a few of your most commonly used items somewhere they are more quickly accessible, like pockets?
