I like congratulate my fellow American citizens for doing their civic duty, let's not get political in this thread.

I simpy love this forum - even more since, in our extreme days, it is rare to find a place where people just get along without hassling each other (well, as long as it isn't about vital issues like Vic vs. Wenger or Vic vs. Leatherman ;-) ). Even more- extremely constructive discussions like in the "communal property"-thread are an outstanding feature here.
Thanks for that, folks!

One big group here are Americans - I've met a huge bunch of you on my travels, varying personalities like you'll find them in every nation on earth. Basically, just normal people, at times a bit louder, but some of them good friends of mine now.
So I've seen the past months with growing unease, because one big trait in my American friends has been shaken badly -
believing in your identity, believing in unity, believing in America.
That is a very rare thing, a country so diverse feeling so united, and whatever will come out of this night-
don't stop believing in yourself and what great nation you crazy guys have built up.
E pluribus unum!

So, to celebrate you crazy Americans, I'm going to carry the most American knife I have ;-)

Tomcat

(And keep in mind: America loses unity -> Canadians invade and take over)

That is one thing I never could understand  You are in North America as well as Mexico but only people from the US are called Americans

And thanks all for the support it is a great honor to be amongst so many different types of people from all over the world and feel such kinship and comradery  Wish the whole of the world could be and feel like MTO :tu:

Yup, you guys co-opted the term years ago.  Technically, people from Brazil, Peru and Chile are also Americans.  :D

Of course, if we want to be technical, we should all be called Vespuccians, since the typical way of naming things is to use last names.  Amerigo Vespucci, the person who confirmed Columbus' discovery decided to skip tradition and name the continent with his first name rather than his last.

See?  Multitool.org is educational and fun!  :D

Very cool.  Is it an auto, or is that switch just the lock release?

That Buck looks very similar to their Redpoint. That slide lock serves as a blade release, meaning it locks open AND closed.
