Loosing a parent is a rough spot in the road, thank you for your efforts to smooth that series of bumps for her and the kids.
@ MTSAK - In my house back in the day, that would heard or smelled by awl and a HARTY INVITATION to get back up and enjoy the party. Today even if I hide such sweats, when I get a hankering for niibble, no problem I live alone… NOPE, take the bag from my hiding spot, and WHAT? It’s been open! I did do that, inspect and find ONE! only ONE piece… 🙃 really 8

Collector's Forum / Re: Car boot finds« Last post by Mike 56 on Today at 03:43:38 PM »Yadda. I have been looking at your posts you have collected a lot of cool rusty stuff. I too collect old tools mainly hammers, Hatchets, and floor installation tools. I live with chronic pain you can find me in my shop regrinding and polishing old tools any time day or night. This week I picked up a beat-up Case with a broken tip, Imperial boy scout knife, a nice blue Frammer, and three Opinels one with a broken tip for 30.00. I also bought 20oz Eswing rip hammer for 3.00. I reground the tips and ground the edge on the Case and the Opinel. With a few licks on a diamond plate, they were razor-sharp and very nice to work with.
Happy hunting, Mike 10
Swiss Army Knights Forum / Re: The Little SAKs« Last post by IMR4198 on Today at 03:42:38 PM » Something needed prying, so I reached for the closest thing. A 58mm. I used the SD tip to pry some and nothing moved, so naturally I put more pressure on it. I did stop before I broke the thing, and went for another tool.
Then I wondered. Did I bend the tip? I looked. Maybe a little? The file still closed (Green 58mm in photo). I forgot about it. Then I decided to compare it with another 58mm. I help both up together. Hmmm? Might be just the least perceptible bend. I rearranged them a time or two and squinted at them. Yes, I think one might be barely bent. Then I saw I was looking at the blue Classic, thinking it was the green one. So much for imagination. Best wishes. G PXL_20240503_132018739.jpg (Filesize: 189.33 KB) |
