« Last post by Explorer on Today at 04:42:43 PM » yes it's so many options it took me a good two weeks of research and hemming and hawing to decide what configuration to order.
it all really boils down to what kind of emitters you like "warm" or "cool" but there are a ton of choices with varying tints and brightnesses. and then there's duel channel for the best of both worlds
the nichia 519a are popular for the warmer tints and the osram W2 emitters are popular for a cooler bright throwy beam.
as far as use case some of his lights could be used as practical tools but many of them are "hot rod lights" meaning they pump out a ton of lumens but will get hot quickly and not sustain the output for very long. kind of making them more of a toy than a tool. there's also some mixed opinions about how durable they are. but i've never owned a hanklight so i'll be sure to report back about how they perform etc.
