Maybe I should change my nickname into "Grand-Tour-24", since I'm not that keen on the "new" Top-Gear ...

Why is that a thought rather than an action?
Do it. :pok:Maybe I should change my nickname into "Grand-Tour-24", since I'm not that keen on the "new" Top-Gear ...

Euh ... I'm affraid you guys wouldn't know who I am anymore ... :dwts:
And I also use my Top-Gear-24 nickname elsewhere, like on my Playstation for example.

You'll still have the -24 bit and the dog gif. We'll recognize you. :D
They brought back the interview and racing each other part with celebrities which is the bit I disliked in TG
Does anybody watch the show because of the interviewees or care about them?
I think they are just wasting show time that could be used by the three presenters to entertain us..

just remember TG it GT ;) that if changed your probably still have to log in with your old name,I got mine shortened to just Zed years ago and I still have to log on with the full name :tu:
I wish they would stop doing those stupid races. Listening to May and Hammond bicker gets old really quickly. They've done it a million times and is now just annoying, most of that section got fast forwarded through.

Edit: Oh, wait, that is not the president from the well known Hitchhikers Guide but the far less known sorcerer from the sword of truth series
Well I enjoyed 'unscripted', especially Sylwia 'the human finish line'
I've watched the first three episodes now and I have laughed my arse off the whole way through.+1

isn't that all we want from a show like that?:salute:
....where language fails....
Yes, trying too hard.......but in a believable way?

Not really. If the show was unscripted, how did the chain smoking model (assumption from her voice) suddenly turn up with multiple costume changes? The interruptions in the middle of doing a voice over were rather too convenient, etc.

the chain smoking model with multiple costumes was the only believable part of it being unscripted. trust me on that one

Did you notice that when May is supposedly surprising those people by putting out their BBQ, the camera man had to have already been in their garden as per the camera angle? Heck you're the man on the ground there, you probably noticed a bunch more stuff. :)
looking from a local perspective the BBQ wouldn't have been a big deal. starting that fire on the other hand would have been a massive problem
S02E07......That's why!
I have tears in my eyes......Indian food......but the goose bumps are thanks to the last segment of the show
they are desperate - featuring porn has-beens now....
First few weeks - off roading, pickup trucks Great start !!!
I finally watched the first two episodes. While taking so long to get ready, keep in mind the demon is factory 840 HP, vs the aftermarket tuned 1000 HP Camaro...
Regarding the drag race at the end of Episode one.... WTF?
If you have to spend over an hour setting the car up, shouldn't you at least get a better lead than that?
Otherwise, pretty cool. :D
I am excited to watch the second half of the Columbia episode- it looks like a good old fashioned Top Gear adventure, and I do so enjoy those!
The Dune buggy thing last season was cool, but they were too closely matched. It's nice to see them in totally different vehicles again, even if Clarkson did make the obvious choice for it. Although I think if I was trying to film jaguars in the wild I may have opted for something with a top! :ahhh

That may be, but the Demon is factory tuned rather than aftermarket tuned. And, the ethanol heavy fuel used would make a huge difference in it's own right.True, I'm assuming the results would have been reversed had he been allowed to street race.
Not to mention how much further ahead the Camaro would be in the hour and a half that it took the Demon to get ready.

The only other good car show that doesn't involve a bunch of bearded and tattooed guys "making custom cars" and forcing you to watch their fake drama and arguments, is wheeler dealers...sadly Edd China left it, and the guy who replaced him "Ant" does an okay job for being Edd's replacement, but a lot of the "good advice" he gives are based on you having a whole garage with like 100.000 euros full of tools and equipment and then; yes you can save money on fabricating something yourself rather than buying it, but no ordinary person has that ....Edd Chinas advice was a lot more relatable.
that Mongolia episode is worth a rewatch
What was the car they built? Something with a name or a custom made for the show?
Clarkson said "the next 13 weeks" during the first episode.......and I'm watching the 14th episode this evening!
:woohoo:
yea it is a great thing they had a 2 parter
To be frank I prefer the specials anyway. No loss.
I am pretty sure that most people agree with you on that. I know I do. :D
