The now discontinued Leatherman PS Style usually is a safe choice.  Although, I do know a person who had one confiscated.

The problem at least in the US is that the final decision on what is allowed is at the “discretion” of TSA agents.  Because of this “discretion” I have had or heard of items that one would consider “safe” be confiscated.

I can't tell too well but it looks like you might have the latest awl so that would put it at 1987 and older.  If it is indeed the newest awl, you can narrow down your SAK to between 1987 and 1990.

This is where you can read about that info - https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,51872.msg1632543.html#msg1632543

Also, did you post a pic of the tang stamp and I missed it?

Day 21
Testing the ferro rod on random bamboo husks that are strewn around this time of year. Success came easily.   [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
Looks like a well used ferro and Opi

Day 21

Got to use my Zippo to start a fire using dried leaves as tinder.

(Image removed from quote.)
Nice one

Day 22
A bit long, but good reach, holds lots of fluid, and is refillable too. :tu:
Nice, I like the longer reach lighters for outside and lighting jar candles

Couple C Johnson knives

Sweet pair !

I have been on a Stockman kick of late, with an itch to  get a new to me model.

To keep the itch in check I’ve been getting reacquainted with models in my storage totes.
Today, a Micarta Case Copperhead and a Marbles 3 blade (cattleman?) were selected.

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

The Marble’s MR298 has 3 full sized blades, Clip, Spear Lg Pen), and Spey.   Each with own back spring.
It Carrie’s well, though a bit thick.  Surprised how well it cuts and holds its edge.  So much that the Copperlock do not action so far😉

The Marbles is an interesting one !   :tu:

I can’t help with dating but congrats.

I know the SAK magnifying glass seems to be a tool that many find useless but I love.

I have both the old style mag glass on my late 90s Explorer, as well as the latest version on the new Explorer I bought last year.

Personally, I like the newer version better! Sure, the magnifying power is lower but the larger lens makes it easier to actually bring things into focus versus the older model.
