Better late than never right? I like traditions and appreciate the generosity of those who have sought fit to continue follow suit with the No Life Club giveaway. So, in keeping with tradition I will be hosting my own giveaway having joined the NLC on MTo. Before we get to the what and how I’m going about it I really need to say a few things first.
MTo has been a complete blast for me and wonderful break from my day to day stuff. I first came here like most, in search of information on a tool I was contemplating buying. I lurked for a few months and saw a real community spirit and closeness. I initially thought it would take a while to become “one of the pack” but once I registered and began to post I quickly realized this was in fact a GREAT bunch of people and somewhere I could see myself checking into regularly. I hadn’t started with the idea of becoming a collector because all I really needed was one great tool and I had already made my mind up and bought it. What struck me was the genuine care and family nature that permeates this little place on the web. MTo is like my Cheers for those familiar with the TV show. I like to hang out and just be one of the guys talking about the stuff we enjoy and learn quite a bit about this fun hobby of ours. I feel like I have buddies from all over the world and that’s pretty cool plus I get to see some of the most incredible collections I could ever imagine. I have seen some real generosity exhibited here and it’s great to see especially since we all come from so different economic backgrounds. I’m glad I stayed a while and have become a NLC member.
Thank you to all Admin/Mods for all you do and thank you always to Grant for getting this place together so we all have a place to hang out. I wish I could send something to each regular poster on MTo because this is what makes this place so much fun and is the fabric of the MTo community. The regular posters keep the conversation lively and contribute in making this place worth coming to every day. So enough of my rambling here we goooooooooooo………….
The contest is simply answering the question, at WHAT TIME WAS LITTLE ALOHA BORN?
PRIZES ( choice of ONE): Leatherman Supertool 200, Casio G Shock, LM Wingman (yes I’m still pushing these off), Charter membership (new or renewal)
Rules;
You must have 800 posts to enter (as of this posting).
You must be 18 years of age to choose one of the multitools.
Open worldwide.
Please consider your current knife laws if selecting one of the MTs as both have locking blades.
If your current laws prohibit you from owning a Gshock please refrain from choosing that prize.
If your current laws prohibit you from being a Charter Member please move to neighboring town or country.
Mods/Admin. If you are or were one of these terrific people even if you have been away for a bit you are very eligible regardless of post count. (If you don’t want the prize you should enter and choose up to 5 names of those you’d like to receive the prize instead, and I will assign a number to them and use random dot org to pick the recipient).
Please use the 24 hour time clock format (Military or Astronomical Time whatever you may call it) which I think should avoid confusion. HH:MM only please.
All eligible participants must enter by November 30th Midnight (Pacific Standard Time)
Closest to my time of birth not going over WINS a CHOICE of prize from my offerings

Thanks everyone for keeping it tidy. I am going to make one small addition to the rules.
And that addition is, I understand that the ones who have recently won may not want to enter however, please enter anyway as the new rule is the same as the Mods/Admin in that you may give your prize to someone else should you win. Pick 5 names I will assign them a number and will pick their number through random dot org.

the purpose for my giveaway was not only to follow tradition but to say thank you to all the REGULARS who post. this to me is the fabric of MTo and the sole reason I continue to check in. I find myself looking forward to the posts from you guys and gals. like I stated, I feel like I have buddies from all over the world as a result of how much you contribute to MTo. This is just a small way to say thank you and I appreciate how much you all give to this place.

I agree with you wanting the more regular posters here to give us a greater chance :salute: No offense, of course, to the newbies who have the intention of sticking around and contributing. I just can't help but notice that there can be several first time posts on giveaways, and sometimes I wonder if they're just here for the giveaways, or actually plan on contributing to the wonderful community here. Plus this increases my chances of winning.... :whistle: Thanks again buddy :salute:

the SUPER TOOL 200 is in very nice condition and the locks operate smoother than on my other ones. come on still plenty of time to enter for those eligible.

YAY more entries.
Here is the GShock up for grabs. I believe the module 2263 from what I've seen came out in 2000. The watch color is Black and Green with a Blue G for the light button. It has a fresh battery and is in top working order. This will fit nicely under a long sleeve shirt or coat.

I'll be in bed then! I can't stay up until 3am......well I could, but I'd regret it ;) Although when I think about it, I will be getting up around 8 tomorrow morning, so that would give me probably like 4.5 hours of sleep, which is actually about what I get every night. Hmmmm :whistle:

it'll be bright and early for our friends across the pond. I will be heading to sleep myself as I work tomm at 0645 :D but I wanted the winner to be announced as soon as the deadline to enter had passed.

Well I can't wait to find out :D I haven't decided if I will indeed stay up that late, but I doubt I will. I usually feed baby girl around 5-5:30am when she seems to wake up like clockwork. She usually goes right back to sleep though until we have to get up for the day. That's the only problem in that if I stay up until after 3am, I will be woken up around 2 hours later, so that doesn't work well for me. Even if I can go back to sleep fairly soon after, my sleep cycle will be interrupted, and I don't like that >:( Either way, I'm excited, and I can't wait to see what happens :ahhh

I think it’s fantastic that you both wished the others luck and it’s this spirit that makes MTo special to me and I’m sure to many others, so for your wonderful expression you are now part of the surprise... ;)
The surprise is the contest isn’t over quite yet because only one item was claimed. All remaining players plus ETHEREALICER and ZOIDBERG now have a shot at a choice of ONE item from the remaining items. :woohoo:
I also think it’s great that while Millhouse, Lowtech, Ducttapetech, and AHB were all eligible they passed for whatever reasons, thus giving you all a better chance to win. If you (Millhouse,Lowtech,DTape,AHB) want to enter please do so as the next winner will be chosen on December 4th sometime. One of my boys woke me up early because he couldn't sleep anymore, so still not fully awake I decided to check out my beloved forum, first topic I opened was this one and I went from half asleep to :woohoo: in about 20 seconds (it took quite long because I had to check like 3 times before I believed it ...).
A big (big big big big ...) thank you to Aloha007 for this awesome give-away, and for giving the other participants another shot at winning one of these great prices, that way the fun isn't over for the people who didn't win at first. And I think it's very cool of you that you include Etherealicer, Zoidberg, Millhouse, Lowtech, Ducttapetech, and AHB for their good spirit :hatsoff:.
I read that some of you (Monrogue ... :pok:) were already having a hard time deciding what to pick if they won, well, I will make it a bit easier for you guys, I'm going to choose the Supertool 200. As some of you may know, the original Supertool was my very first multitool (way back in '94) and I really love it, and after I got a ST300 from my boys for Christmas two years ago I've been keeping an eye out for a ST200, but they are quite rare over here so I already told myself I would never get my hands on one ...
So, once again, a huge thank you to Aloha007 :salute:.

Thanks for helping me make my Supertool collection complete, Aloho007 (and thanks for the nice note that came with the tool, happy holidays to you and your family also my friend :salute:).

Sometimes I like the rocker locks, sometimes I want to throw the tool. If you find the rocker lock hard to rock, slightly open one of the other tools and the lock will move much easier! While wearing heavier gloves, I find them one of the better locks though.

Yeah my other 2 and the Pulse are rather stiff but again I really like the tools also they are just sitting in my collection rather than users

The style is close to my white one, which is good as I really like that style!
This made a great early Christmas present for myself, though I thought it would take me until the new year to get to it!! :pok: I should have taken pics of the half a roll of tape used to keep it secure. :D

Great to see it made it unharmed, it looks great on your wrist. I wasn't sure how to ensure a safe trip so out came the duct tape and away I went ;). Glad you like it and I hope you get some great mileage out of it.
