Title: Plier head swap
Post by: RaptorMan on June 04, 2010, 04:33:23 AM
Does anyone know if a PST plier head will interchange into a sideclip? Im working on a contingency plan if I cant get my sideclips original plier head working right. Ive got mine disassembled or I would try it.

I dont know but I doubt it. My sideclip plier head is ground almost flat on one side.

No, a plierhead from a PST will not fit into a Sideclip because it doesn't have the flattened section on one side needed to fit in between the screwdrivers in the handle when the tool is closed.

A Kick plier head won't fit either due to the friction ramps on the new design, which I discovered recently!

You have a nice day too, if that's possible for a bot.

Which one of you mods is going to escort our "littlegirl" from Thailand out the door?

Indeed I did.

Problem with the Sideclip (as compared to the PST) is the fact that each handle is comprised of two parts - not a single folded piece of steel like the PST. This means that the friction ramp could cause quite a bit of damage to the handles, so I deemed it "not very bright" and stopped :D
