Fencing tools always look familiar. The name of this one is what makes it different. Everyone wants a Plammer!
This one has been mentioned one time before in a different thread, but never alone so I had to bring it up again.
I love tools with great names, Neverstall, Unbreakable are just a couple, and now Plammer!

I had one similar to that. Lent it to a work colleague and never saw it again.
Surprisingly usable as a hammer, the hook is for pulling fencing staples and the cutters make easy work of #8 fencing wire.
Not that I do any fencing, but it had belonged to my Dad so there was some sentimental attachment.
Don't think it had a cool name like Plammer. :think:

The Plammer, I love it! :cheers: Good one Lyndon. I've got a similar tool to that one around here somewhere. Yeah, and speaking of multi-purpose fence tools, boy there sure were/are a lot of them! Seems like there would be a limit to the number of ways a person could combine a set of pliers, a hammer, a hatchet, and a nail puller. :think: But it seems like every other guy had a better idea on how it ought to be done.
(none had cool names like "Plammer" though, as far as I know) :D

Speaking of multi-purpose fencing tools, here's another. While admittedly not as glamorous-sounding as The Plammer, this Kitselman Wire Tool was meant to do pretty much the same tasks.

It could splice wire, pull staples, and hammer, all for just 65 cents. (back in 1941) :)

There not so much for hammering as its getting hammered. You use a hammer to smack the head to help drive it under the steple.
