When the PST Heritage edition was announced I liked the idea of being able to buy a new PST, but the 299,95 Euro retail price was a bit over the top in my opinion ("a bit" being an understatement). After a couple of months the retail price dropped down to 249.95 Euro, which was still more than I was willing to cough op. Early January I noticed that a local outdoor-shop had the PST Heritage on sale at -30% discount and I decided to go and have a look, but I never got to the store since I found a couple of old Wengers in another store first that day ... ::).
A bit later they were at -50%, but by then I started hoping they would eventually drop down to -70% and I started the waiting game ...
And finally, last thursday around midnight, they dropped to -70%, and I went for it and placed my order :D.
And yesterday I got an e-mail saying that I could collect them at the local shop, so here are the pics (taken indoors with smartphone, so nothing fancy ::)).
Oh, and by now you guys should know what the standard procedure is when something costs less than 1/3th of its original price, right ? :pok:

First impressions ... The NIB old stock PST that I bought a couple of years ago felt better, this one feels pretty tight (but will get better during use I guess), and it was quite "dirty" out of the box, fingerprints and grease (on a regular Leatherman this wouldn't even catch my attention, but since this is supposed to be a Special Edition, in a special box at a special price, I was expecting more maybe ... :-\).
And the sheath, well, it looks nice, but compared to an original leather PST sheath, this one feels ... well ... it just doesn't feel the same ... Maybe American cows aren't what they used to be, who knows ?
Anyway, I'm very happy with my Heritage PST's, and at 74,99 Euro a piece they are a steal over here. Even when rumours about the PST being part of Leatherman's line up again (a "normal" version at at a "normal" price, that is) in the near future, I doubt that the "normal" price will be lower than the 74,99 Euro I paid for these Heritage versions now. So either way, one happy TG-24 here :D.

The packaging looks very Apple minus the color of the box. I'm not surprised by how many companies have mimicked Apple's boxing of products.

Needed to wait long time to get them in right price.
2 for $240 from Dubai. Hope will arrive in tomorrow. :cheers:

They were too expensive at first, but the waiting and the hunt to get them at a nice discount makes holding them in your hands eventually that much more special.

I got my first multi tools in my life in Monday. Opened the one to use and was thinking to keep the second one in sealed for my little kids. Buying a third one was in my mind.
In my touch and in hand playing, I heard a sound when I pressured to open end while in completely closed. Then I tried to understand where the sound came from. I figured out there is a milimetric warp in open end side (not same level while in horizontal, one side feels upper/lower) and tend to slide to one side with pressure and sound come from there.
When I opened the box I was also saw a small trace of abrasion in wire cutter area and thinking it was normal. (As boxes original factory sealed, must be in factory and while I open and close it crated more trace)
This is my first multitool and first Leatherman, this crated some frustration to me.
After it feel it's not sturdy, I have to do open the second one to see if all this tools like this. The second one have feels sturdy. not tend to slide one side in pressure to open end while completely close, also although I open and close in my hand 10-15 times, wire cutter area don't crate traces because of rubbing.
Then I decided to use the second one. I emailed to info@leatherman.com about the issue with below photos. I let them know I bought it from amazon.ae and send with a second courier with a friend from Dubai and not want to send back to amazon.ae Asked them if I send them to back have a chance to change it with a new one. If I have no chance I will need to send it back to amazon.ae of course but I hope can get a new one and keep it too.

That is awful to have a problem like that with a tool that cost that much :facepalm: You probably won't be able to swap for another as these were limited editions I think :ahhh
Hopefully you can still get the problem sorted though :salute:
EDIT I was looking at Leatherman website and they still have these for sale, so maybe you could get it swapped :shrug:

Unfortunately Leatherman service directed to return the item or the send to local service for warranty, I did not get a risk and returned it to amazon while in return period.
Luckly I found another stock with same price and ordered in today.
Happy with the current one.
