The best cap lifter ever was the  paint can opener the used to give you (maybe they still do?) when you bought paint at a hardware store.  Used to call it a "Church Key".

I see that becoming common on college campuses as part of a drinking game.

This sort of stuff is always great fun ......  until someone (usually an innocent bystander) loses an eye  ;)

Huh, and to think we spent hours perfecting the skill of snapping them at each other or into targets with just our fingers.  I can still shoot one 25-30 feet and get it into a target the size of an open garage door!  ;)

I sort of bought one of those on accident.  I was really excited to get it in the mail.  Then, when I got it, it didn't work NEARLY as well as the video.

Not sure if mine is just weak or something, but when I fire it, the cap only goes about 2 feet and then drops to the ground.  If I make a flinging motion with my hand while I fire it the cap sails a little better but at that point I could just be tossing them by hand.

Perhaps it needs an upgraded spring???

Just goes to show you the old method of snapping them with your fingers is best!

Maybe the Health & Safety bods read my post about eyes and decided to detune the spring ?

That's how you make a Nerf gun halfway decent, so it wouldn't hurt to mess with it and see.
