Title: My Latest Multitool
Post by: Lion on June 27, 2009, 02:43:03 AM
(http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m81/Birkebeiner_1971/277587781_o.jpg)

Its pristine. The knife still has the factory edge and its even sharp. Anyone have any idea of the age? It was made in Solingen Germany. The name on the case and the blades is Crosston, but that appears to be a reseller. Any idea on how to date it and maybe figure out a bit more about it?

Lion I have something that looks very similar to yours I took some pics yesterday & planned to post them today  :D.
My one was made by W.H. MORLEY & SONS GERMANY.
BTW your kit looks very nice.

Thanks much. Getting this was pure luck. I was searching for a new shave kit bag and ran across this. It was listed in the travel accessories section as "Businessman 's Quality Travel Tool Kit In Leather Case". I was the only bidder.

I know most knife companies used to make (or have someone else make for them) a version of this kind of kit. That doesn't help me much though. Bernard Levine said the waiter's tool and tape measure are "non-standard additions" to this kind of kit. Unfortunately that doesn't really help me either. Of course, I just got it in the mail today so my search for more info has just started.

That's a bit special.  Certainly the best condition variant of that style I've seen

Need big pockets then  :D But it looks pretty cool! Looks like a kit the evil doctor takes out of his pocket to have a "chat" with the tied down hero, you see in the movies  >:D  :D
