Wa koming gut, beratna unte sesata mi!
This is a thread where we, Belta, talk and learn about Lang Belta, the Belter Creole from The Expanse!
Here's couple helpful websites:
http://expanse.wikia.com/...reole_individual_articles
https://www.memrise.com/course/1476694/lang-belta-belter-creole-phrasebook/
Also, if you're on Discord, the #lang-belta at The Expanse channel is a veritable cornucopia of Lang Belta knowledge. I can be found there as AlephZero (duh :D)

And to translate the title of the thread:
"You" + "Speak" + "Language" + "Belter" + "Yes/No"?
Lang Belta borrows heavily from many languages, the ending "ke" for a question is a loan from Japanese "ka".

Welwala: (pejorative) person obsessed with the gravity well or the inner planets' culture; "planet-lover", "(Gravity)Well" + "person who lives"
Maliwala: Child/Children, "Small" + "person who is"
Couple other important words:
Beltalowda: The Belters, more of "Us Belters" in context
Inyalowda: The Inners, more of "Them Inners" as in opposition of "Us Belters"
Both using the suffix "-lowda", which makes the plural of the original word.
Example:
"Mi": "I/Me"
"Milowda": "We/Us"
"To": "You"
"Tolowda": "You(Plural)"
"Im": "He/She/It"
"Imalowda": "They/Them"
