Well, I have a SwissTool with a lot of play in the pliers that bugs me. So, I am thinking about sending it back. Has anyone used Vic's warranty before? Do you have to pay to send it back to you? I am used to Leatherman's Warranty..

Dunno about u.s. but in canada you pay for shipping to them, they pay for shipping back.

So, I have decided to send it back.. How long does the process usually take? Does anyone know if I have to pay to ship it back to me in the US??

They pay the shipping. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending. They also will chose whether to repair or replace unless you specify what you want/don't want.

A few months? That's absurd!

Anyone else you the U.S Victorinox Warranty?

It most likely will not take longer than a couple of weeks in most cases. Depends on the backlog of work. My information comes from many, many people who have used the service. Some have been very happy with how quickly they get their item returned and some have been very unhappy with how long it has taken.

Thanks a lot Tim! BTW, do they ship UPS or USPS back to you?

Generally UPS.

Thanks again Tim! I was thinking the warranty service can't take that long. I live in MA which is not too far from CT... I also sent it Priority Mail which will take two days.. I will be sure to let you all know when it gets here!

Well, I got my BRAND NEW RS today. It even came with a sheath. But, I noticed something about the sheath. On virtually all of my other SwissTool sheaths (3) none of them say " Made in the USA" on the belt loop. Also, this sheath is a lot smaller than my other ones and the tool is really recessed into the sheath. I wish I could take a pic! But, not bad warranty service by ANY means!
