Title: Wengers new toys.
Post by: CQC-7 on February 08, 2008, 02:42:07 AM
I was looking at the stuff on SOSAK earlier and I was wondering if anyone knows how many of the retro looking wengers are going to be produced, because I really want one. :) :) :)  I was also loking at the clipped Wengers, very nice, finally somebody took notice of all the people wearing knives clipped in their pockets.

Def is more up to speed on the new Wengers than me, but I believe the retro model is a reproduction of the original 1893 model, hence there will be one thousand eight hundred and ninety three of them produced. Wenger went all out on the fit, finish, and quality of these knives. The one we saw at the Shot Show was truly a piece of art.

Only about 500 will make their way to the U.S. according to Peter Hug (Wenger Switzerland CEO). I asked Dennis (North American Marketing Director) and I have a placeholder in for as many as I can get.

Wenger just previewed the Yellow Evos at the Shot Show. They likely won't make it to dealers for awhile yet :-\

There's some info on availability in this thread:

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,3733.0.html

Also, Tim stocks so much stuff that he can't possibly keep his store updated at all times.  If you don't see something listed, send him an email at fveap@sosakonline.com and ask.  He's probably got it, but if he doesn't he can probably get it, and he should also be able to tell you when.

The thing that folks don't realize about Tim is that he's not just a dealer and this isn't just a business for him.  He's as passionate about SAKs as anyone else in SOSAK, and he's also passionate about cats (he has 6 I think) and all proceeds from sales go into funding his non profit cat charity at www.fveap.org.  Literally every dollar the man earns is looked at as something to help sick and injured animals, and every dollar he spends is carefully weighed against it's potential for helping a cat somewhere.

Bottom line, he'll dig deeper to find something than anyone else will, and he knows that even if he doesn't make a dollar off you today, he'll make it back later on with good service.  Plus, in communities like Multitool.org and SOSAK, even one complaint about him can completely sink him, so he always goes the distance for us!

Well I know that he is solid to deal with, Using him on 2 occasions for orders. Both times I think were the best that I have ever delt with online. On the first that got me hooked he actually held on to an item for a week until I had the cash when he could have easily sold it here out from under me. I will allways deal with him first on things if he has it.

Plus he helped nme out with my old Maine Coon cat last week!!! Thanks Tim!!! it was arthritis.

Good to hear!

Not that your cat has arthritis, that's a bad thing, but always good to hear good things about the Cat Man! :D

I'd also like to point out that the reason we have so few banner advertisers is that I won't allow anyone to advertise here that isn't first rate.  I've dealt with all of them and been nothing but tickled pink each time!
