I the time honored MTo tradition, I am doing a GAW to celebrate (atone) for such exuberant participation here. :tu:

Here's the rules:
1. To enter....an MTo member must have joined the forum on or before 25 June 2018.
2. To enter....an MTo member must have 500 posts by the time I hit 5000 posts (I'm still 400 shy of the 5K mark, so no rush if you don't have a triple-digit post count).
3. Y'awl keep a nice orderly list of entries, please.
4. When I hit 5000 posts, I will randomize the list of entrants (using random.org) and then select a random winner of the GAW (using random.org).
Here's the GAW prize: an Osborne designed Benchmade 943.
This is simply a fabulous knife and one of my favorites, probably of all time. This one has been used a bit. I just put a clip back on it (for you guys) and, the clip shows some wear. This is odd because I really prefer to carry the 940/943 line without a clip, so I don't how it came by some wear. Sorry it isn't perfect, it is the only 940 clip I've got, so it's the one that got remounted.
Overall, the knife is in great shape and the action is silky smooth. It is just a perfect EDC.

Cycling in Hungary? Very much depends on where you are. My hometown is very bike friendly for example, and there's also a dedicated bicycle road running through it (and going throught the countryside for a further 50 kms or so, linking several small towns). On the other hand, the city where I live now is much less friendly in this aspect, I don't feel that safe on the streets, and there are no seperate, dedicated bicycle roads built, or not easily accessible from many parts of the city. Okay, there's one going through the mountains right behind us, but I'm not in a shape to tackle that. Nowadays I ride my bike very little, which is a shame, because I loved cycling, and did 50-150 kms per week when the conditions were good.

Well, tuna is not something you regularly feed the cat with here, this a very well land-locked country, so I'd say chicken, but he likes almost all kinds of cat food (chicken, fish, beef), and I guess what he prefers most is what he sees you having. :drool: :rofl: He just has to have a bite or two whatever it is, ice cream, bread, fruit, you name it... Lovely, silly old cat. :)

Some nights he still goes on adventures, I guess he still attempts to hunt, but he stopped bringing "gifts" a long time ago, so I can't say for sure. Nowadays he prefers to relax and observe the world. :)

Read a dozen books on them (we have an excellent etology professor in Hungary who's been doing research in this field for decades and he writes super engaging popular science books), watched countless docus, and I even wrote a paper about domestication myself back at the university once.

Yes, he is, it's up to him when and where he wants to stay.

He lays/sits down on(to) whatever is new. And he has "fads", he prefers some spot for a couple of weeks, then he finds a new one. Sometimes super silly places, like on top of the books on the shelf.
Can you pet him?
Can you pick him up?
Does he ever charge people?
No, he's pretty peaceful and rather shy, but once he accepted you, you can do whatever you want with him. And he trusts me the most, so really, for me he allows uncomfortable things too, like removing the occasional tick or checking his teeth, things like these. I mean without any resistance.

PS: If you ever have problems with your Benchmade contact their customer service, :tu: they are kind, fast and superb. :gimme: You can read it all over the internet, they care for their customers.
I decided to try that for myself and asked them how much would it cost me to purchase a deep pocket carry clip from them for my BM710 (I don't want to advertise I'm carrying it in the city :ahhh), they did not only charge me anything, but they sent two deep carry clips :o the next day of my inquiry free of charge, they got here fast (yesterday, a week after my first email) and work flawlessly :salute:
