I have read on several posts about people snagging Victorinox spirits on amazon for 40 or 50 dollars using some sort of special Victorinox coupon that amazon offers once in a while. I have never seen "amazon coupons" or deals offered for things like this so I was wondering if you guys could give me some more information. At the end of the day I just want to get a Vic spirit but can't justify the big price tag, so if you know of any way to get one through the forum or on eBay for a good price I would be equally interested in hearing about those ways.
Thanks for your time.

I got a Spirit a year or so back for a good price. Around the $45-$50 range. Amazon does do sales on Victorinox products form time to time. Usually it's $10 off a $50 or more purchase and the Spirit would be on sale for say $60. Then take off the $10 so $50. Amazon now charges tax so it is a bit harder to get them at that price, but you can find them for a "reasonable" price form time to time you just have to get lucky and be in the market for one when they come up for sale and Amazon is running the promotion.

Thanks for posting Captain :). So it looks like it's just a matter of luck and timing eh? I was hoping that Amazon dropped the coupons at specific times (like right before Christmas every year for example.) well I'll keep my eyes open and hopefully I can track one down before too long.

It seems to happen about twice a year, them going on for around 50.

Amazon just got done with the save $10 off $50 purchase earlier this month, I think!
