Amazon's deal of the day includes an interesting find: It's a Marmut/Wave knock-off in BO... for a whopping $10.

Why? WHY? WHYYYYYYY!?!?
Why did you POST THAT?
Now I have one on the way.
BTW, it's about $16 with shipping, if you don't have Prime.
I can pretend it's for a new 'Cheap and Cheerful' review. Yeah... :D
-
I got one too, luckily, I have amazon Prime.
-
Well the old style scissors are nice but I just spent my amazon money on an x-tract essential earlier
-
this will probably make me want a real wave!

Oh well, 4 ordered ( 1 for me, 3 for give-aways as novice encouragement awards at my dog club's agility trials).

I just noticed something, did anybody read the reviews in this listing? they all are talking about eating utensils... one even compares it to this item http://www.amazon.com/SE-KC5006S-4-Inch-Camping-Detachable/dp/B000XFHJW4/ref=pd_sbs_sg_1.
I hope I'm wrong but I have a bad feeling they have got the picture screwed up in the original listing.
I hope for everybody's sake that it is the reviews that are on the wrong listing.

PTRSAK,
there were 4 tools to choose from on that one listing, and I think the reviews were combined.
I did notice, and figured it was worth the gamble

Are you 100% this BO? Or just a dark photo..?

I cannot say 100% it looks dark or black'ish, but I will let you know when it arrives tomorrow

It looks black; but no, I did check the description for a color and couldn't find one; I'm just basing it off of the picture. :/ As an aside, Amazon does have a kick-ass return policy, though.

It is not BO, just stainless

Ah ha! Trust me, I search only for black oxide tools ;)

and it is crap to boot. the saw is very similar to the leatherman saw. the the scissors are huge, and weird. the handle is not attached to the cutter, I will take some pics later and upload them

I will say that I have to assist the scissor spring lock into place :-[

Not sure if this shows in the picture but the underside of the plier head looks like cast aluminum

Lowtech, they may be the style you want, but they are not that nice. I have to push the small little lock out by hand [hurts]. I would be happy to send it to you, but shipping would be way more than this thing is worth, and I think you would be very disappointed!

Here's a cross-link to the review I did on this thing.
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/board,55.0.html
My scissors don't have the problem yours do, Detron, but they're not great for any soft material. I also suspect these things are REALLY hit-or-miss in the QC department, and any given pair of scissors will be a complete guess as to how well they'll work... leaning heavily toward the bad side.
I think this is officially called the 'Everytool'. That's what's written on the Sheath.

That is still a direct copy of the old Leatherman scissor design, as seen on the PST II and original Wave.

Yeah, it is junk, but that is why I bought it. I want to do some jimping, and some file work, but I want to practice on something that I do not care about.
