Title: I had a eureka moment!
Post by: Alan K. on April 07, 2018, 12:14:40 AM: My Fiskars felling axe and hatchet did not come with blade covers so, after looking for blade covers on E-bay and finding them ridiculously priced, I was inspired to think outside the box. I searched instead for the cheapest leather card case I could find on E-bay with suitable dimensions. I found this for under $2.00 USD, delivered. I removed the snap and fed a cord loop with a sliding lock through the hole and ended up with a safely covered blade on my hatchet, and since it's big on the hatchet I'm sure the same leather card case will also fit on the felling axe so I will be ordering another one.
