Day 1
I bought this little MiniChamp to change the scales, but for now it still has LCS (Little Cutting Sensation) on it. :tu:
I used the cuticle pusher for pushing my cuticles.
I love pulling this out and using it around someone who has never seen the Minichamp in action! Great job Vicman and Gene! This is going to be fun!
Since it's now summer and I will be wearing lighter weight clothing without deep pockets, I had to get my trusty lanyard out.
This clips onto my belt loop and then onto the MiniChamp as seen in the photo. There's also a little MicroLantern with a green trit in it that illuminates at night.

Thanks my friend!! :cheers::hatsoff:
I've had mine a couple of years and love it Bill! I really like FoBo's collection though. It's really renewed my interest in the 58s and the Minichamp in particular.

Busy day for me and the Rambler. I went on a 20 mile hike with my youngest to fulfill a Boy Scout requirement. We hit the halfway point at an old railroad tunnel, at least a 1/4 mile long. Afterwards, we had dinner at my father in law's, where the Rambler's caplifter helped me enjoy a cold brew😀

This is a great thread! Thanks FB for starting it!
Being the only 65mm in the challenge I'm going to have to step up my game.

Made me a StayGlow MiniChamp just now.
So here's a Bonus Day 5 Classic Beverage pic... it's not Root Beer, it's not ginger beer, but it's got ginger root in it and it's an alarming green colour that is warning enough to its alcohol content ! Will you let that qualify FoBo on a technicality ?

I doubt it. I suspect the team in the marketing department slapped themselves on the back for that one !
But rules are there, like the space time continuum, to be bent out of shape. DAY 5
The small blade of my Executive opened and broke down a bunch of boxes today.
This SAK has special meaning to me.
When I was a Victorinox dealer my dad had his choice of any Victorinox knife he wanted and he chose this black Executive. It was his favorite EDC knife.

Used the Signature Lite to cut open the cellaphane from a box of PG :D

Day 5
I'm going with the Dragabond (Dragonfly Vagabond). The scales are amazing, yet the drawback is no pen.

Great photos everyone, and congrats to the winners of a very generous giveaway from FB :tu:
Day 2
Something I do regularly with the tip of the can opener on the larger Saks, I used the file to break the vacuum seal on a jar of pickles, I'm new to the Classic and I'm impressed

Day 6.
Used one PTC to fix the scissors screw on the other PTC. I don't use the jewelers SD very often but it's proven its usefulness the few times I do use it.
:like: I love the PTCs Gene! I only have the Evo 81 ( Esquire) at the moment. A PTC is definitely in the future!
Dogs in Space Classic today!
At work already!!
Good morning! Day 6th, I'm late to the party and I don't even have my SAK put together.
Today's carry will be a SilverTech Midnite Vagabond. It has a broken scissor spring, but the seller included a new spring. :tu:
:like: :tu:Wish me luck!

Day 6.
Used one PTC to fix the scissors screw on the other PTC. I don't use the jewelers SD very often but it's proven its usefulness the few times I do use it.
That scissor tool worked! I now realize that big metal block is basically a vice grip of a sorts:
Well Bill, it's not bread, but I made a batch of blueberry muffins for breakfast. Used the Classic to cut open the mix!
In my opinion the PTC has 4 big advantages over any of the 58mm and 75mm.

Way to go Lisa! That's an impressive tool kit!

Thanks Berry!
In my opinion the PTC has 4 big advantages over any of the 58mm and 75mm.
1. Wenger put the large SD on the thicker combo tool making it a better SD and pry bar then the 58mm nail file SD.
2. I prefer SAK's with the backside Phillips opposed to the CS. so I have no place to put the micro SD. The PTC solves this problem.
3. The PTC works on more screws then the 58mm combo of SDs because both the SDs are 2D instead of 3D Phillips.
4. It has an inline awl. Who wouldn't use an awl?
EDIT: And now I've only just gone and ordered Mini Champ ... :ahhh:woohoo: :like:

Sorry Ron Who, my apologies, but you did get some right!
I don´t need a PTC. Not at home, and not at work. But I understand why you guys like it so much.
One of these days I´ll get one for my collection.
I don´t need an MC either. A Classic would be sufficient (traditional Classic, not an SD).
But I like the MC because it´s both a cool tool and a cool toy 8), it´s so small, :ahhh and it´s great for showing off. :D

Day 7
I'm often a bit perplexed by the lack of tools on my signature Jetsetter... For example I usually use the tip of the file to do this but I managed to do it fine with the tip of the PS... Pushing that little white battery connector back in its socket.

Little Wonky has become my go-to 58mm so far, mostly due to me not worrying about messing it up. It's seen here next to a titanium pill bottle that was gifted to me by the maker.
It was pristine for the longest time, then one day I decided I'm going to use it, I'm glad I did, I have enjoyed it.

 Thanks Lisa, it actually had that slogan on the scales! This was part of a series SMKW offered last year, along with a Tinker with a series of similar scales. I bought one of each Classic and have them to my family. I kept this one. Bill, your Classic is what inspired me to break this one out of the box for this Challenge. Here's a couple pics. Not the best, but I snapped them with my tablet. On a different note, the Executive made it to the Summit of Mount Washington!

c] is it time for a "SAK's as hood / bonnet* ornament" thread?

Over to the jury ....
Day 10
Unexpected mail this morning so Sigsetter went to work :D
Won't be posting the soldiers in the "latest sak" thread since these are potential BYSAKs for MTo members... Keeping them aside for now.
Clearly there are some great minds in this thread (leaving mine aside to be frank).
The second longest SAK I have, which was a gift for Christmas 1985 :D
:like: :like: I like it Lisa!! How do you like the Alox Minichamp? Losing some of the girth and the bullet proof Alox scales has intrigued me.I think an Alox MiniChamp would pair nicely with a 91mm Compact. That way I'd have the pen, toothpick and tweezers too which I miss by having the Alox scales.
Day 10.:like:
I may have bit off more then even the mighty 65mm can chew.
Nice pics you all!
Hood ornament SAK
Day 10
This was a modded alox MiniChamp, so I didn't mind taking a sharpie after it to turn it into a nice, well-loved fuschia color instead of the silver that it was.

And posting this pic that reminds me my MiniChamp should by now be in transit. Patience isn't my strong suit and I'm really looking forward to its arrival... I probably wouldn't go for an Alox one as I'm a die hard T&T fan.
That said pairing a it with a Compact could be a winning combination

I think you will love the MiniChamp Bill!
I always have a MiniChamp with me. :D
Remember that when using a blade or scissors you can open an opposing tool such as the cuticle pusher, nailfile, or ruler/screwdriver to extend the handle,
The letter opener blade(curved blade) is great for cutting cardboard.
The cuticle pusher can be used as a screwdriver or small pry tool.
The orange peeler works great for opening clamshell packs by hooking the point on the underside into the plastic and pulling the hook.
I used my Classic to open the mail today... :mail:. Inside was my long-awaited PTC! Like your LW, Lisa, this guy is well worn but intact and tight. I'm looking forward to carrying this and helping Gene take on that melon!!

I see some of you have started your days already with the Alox MiniChamp and PTC :tu:
Day 11
I got Little Wonky out for service today only to see that his shield is missing.
I hope I find it. Wonky is okay, but wonky and tacky is pushing it.

:like: Great pic Vicman! Out weeding my garden this morning. I've had a decent lettuce crop this year. Pictured is my new to me PTC :D

I've been out on a 50 mile bike ride with friends today and don't carry a SAK with me when I'm out. I did have cause to get my Crank Brothers bike multi tool out to help a mate with his bottom bracket but now I'm home I have my White Classic and Black Swisschamp for company.
Thanks Vicman, I had a few left over from that lot of 50 that I bought. :tu:

Another great turn out everyone. It always amuses me that you don't really need a hulking great toolkit to do quite a lot. You do, however, need ingenuity and the Mark 1 Brain

Day 12
I was lucky to get an inexpensive Vagabond as it had a broken scissor spring (which I fixed), then I put on some Midnite Manager SilverTech scales.
:tu: Way to go Vicman!
:like: That looks great Lisa!
Used the Minichamp to open breakfast today :D

A bit of sunbathing by the lake this morning... Used the Philips to scrape some stuff... Used the scissors to open some packages (actually just cut these circle stickers keeping tech stuff boxes closed).

I only had one pink, plastic spinner and decided I wanted to try some different types. So these two arrived today from the same seller.
Love this one:
This one isn't really my cup of tea, skull and all, but I like the trits in it. Wish it was a smilie face instead, but the guy did a combo price, so I bought 'em.
Day 12.I'm craving some rootbeer right now.

I'm trying to catch up this tread and are awlmost done! Nice challenge everyone

It has a certain ring to it Lisa!
Bill, you can't wrong in any corner with that lineup!
Vicman, you've been busy!
Bill, I thought you might like these. I'm a huge Space guy, especially the Moon Race years. My son, Noah(Spartan 19), picked up these pens for me where he is stationed with the Coast Guard.

They're excellent Barry - great combination. And you have to respect the sheer bravery that got us into space with less computing power than you get in a mobile phone. Remarkable.
I do have a Fisher Bullet with a space shuttle tacked on it (though that fell off the other day unfortunately)...

Day 13
No sunbathing for little Sigsetter today... It's been a long and hard day of working at the office and at home but him and my day 173 carry teamed up to open some sun-lit-picture-deserving knives... So they're here sitting on a clue as to what one of them is :D
I agree Gene! Nice pic Syem!!

Day 14 mail call today. Thanks to FoBo I am now the proud owner of a very smart Wenger Pocket Tool Chest. Obviously the MiniChamp did the honours with the parcel. Thank you FoBo ! :hatsoff:
I will say this. Ok I've only had a MiniChamp for a few days but I can see exactly why the PTC is such a great tool. I'm still giving the MiniChamp the benefit of the doubt but the PTC really does punch above its weight. With one exception, I am not a fan of Wenger's T&T arrangements and I do like T&T.
So, for now I'll keep on with the MiniChamp but the PTC will stay on my desk for comparison and reflection. I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge cos it is making me think. Thanks guys!

Day 14
Passed by the Geneva Victorinox store so I was riding around the lake with my electric skateboard with little Sigsetter in my pocket. I'm finding it incredibly useful despite the lack of blade. It did just a bit of boring nail maintenance today...
Nice Minichamp and PTC Bill!! Two different animals in so many ways but each has its attributes 😀. I'd love to find a way to have the Minichamp pen on the PTC! Nice job in sharing the mini toolbox love Lisa! :tu: :like:

Fun to see you already up and at it.
Day 15
I had to decide to take either LW or Chip. So I decided whichever cut the best.
LW had a difficult time slicing, so Chip will be carried today.
Chip made for a good slicer, seen on the right:
Every time I follow a challenge like this is start asking myself why I don't have any 74mm.. I used to have a sportsman for years and thought that 91mm was way to big.. Now I only use 91mm, I must say I feel the urge to buy a new SAK

Might as well get a 74mm...you can never have too many SAKS!
For this challenge I'm trying to just use my 65mm. I'm learning most of my needs can be met with the 65mm blade but the OHO sure makes life easier.I totally get that. I reached for my modded 91mm the other day because I knew it would be easier to find the blade, but then I put it back and opened the letter with the MiniChamp.
Day 15.
Usually when I need a knife blade I reach for a 111mm OHO serrated blade if for no other reason the ease of opening. For this challenge I'm trying to just use my 65mm. I'm learning most of my needs can be met with the 65mm blade but the OHO sure makes life easier.
Excellent turnout today FoBo, Barry, Vicman Gene & Syem. Really looking good ! :like:
A bit of Coke spoon action today prising off the seal on a pack of hydration tabs for my water bottle. I'm not sure about Cherry Cola flavour as these were a freebie. I'll report back on the taste test when I go for a bike ride shortly.
Yuk !!
You can keep Cherry Cola ....

Went to meet friends to sign an official document (long story)...we all needed a pen so Sigsetter got passed around and everyone signed with him.
Nice view here
They're all a regular part of my diet Vicman 😀
Mighty Minichamp today
Some dark roast, Mighty Minichamp, and friends :D
Day 16 (over the 1/2 way mark!)
Nice seeing you all participating as I get my morning started.
Heading to the pool, don't want to bring an expensive SAK, so I'm going Classic today.
More great posting today :like:
Day 16.
Used the Trailmaster to prune a tree so I used the awl to clean out the saw.
Day 16
Still finding uses for Sigsetter I wasn't expecting...
Like opening up a free knife I got from our beloved FolderBeholder as I was 3rd in her giveaway earlier this month...
Thanks a million for the knife Lisa! And that box is not something I was expecting... I've seen other silvertech Spartans around my parts and they always had a much flatter box which opens on both sides whereas this one has a square cross-section and the bottom is glued close. Was this one from Canada with French and English on it?
Another excellent day of posts everyone. I'm jealous of the pool FoBo it's pretty warm here at the moment. Mind you I'm jealous of the landscape Syem ! :like:
But tea is an ever refreshing beverage wherever you are... and the coke spoon came out at work to retrieve a teabag from my mug satisfactorily. I couldn't take a pic at the time so here's a staged reconstruction !
:like: :like: Great pic Bill!!
:like: That cuticle pusher makes a great straight edge screwdriver too!
PTC today. I've got a trip coming up to Boy Scout camp in a week and am trying to decide which Mini to take. No issues as far as needing a saw or anything like that.
Great pics everyone!
Syem, not sure where that Silvertech box was from originally, just glad the package found its way to Switzerland.
I had a use for the cuticle pusher tool today as a pry bar. This little spinner was super snug in there. No problem for that tool.
If only Little Wonky had some bearings in the scales, that would be great, spinning a SAK, I'd love it!

Early afternoon skate riding with the dog. We like to walk through a woody area (top left of last pic) near the famous "Junction". The place where the clear water from the Rhône gets muddied by joining with the Arve.
Used Sigsetter's scissors for fingernail cleaning l and maintenance back home...
Thank you Vicman, I have a few more in route since I've been able to purchase at discontinued/clearance prices, which in some cases was only $5 or $7!Good to see the posts already this morning! :like:

I'm trying to think up a challenge #3.
Here's 2 that I don't use as much as I should, a GAK and a Mauser. The 108 thread got me thinking about them.It was a GAK that led me to this website and I signed up to post. I did sell it though, I just wasn't using it, or admiring it as I should.
Excellent... thanks Lisa!

Please PM me a shipping address and I'll have the goodies sent to you tomorrow.
I've been admiring this customized SAK this morning.
It really has a lot of features that I like.
If you look at the Victorinox tools, it has the essentials for my liking. I was wondering why the maker put the ruler in there, but I see that it is for the flat screw driver tip since the nail file has the pointy nail cleaner tip on it. :tu: The Spydie blade is a welcome addition, I like having that beefy blade in such a small footprint.
I bought it from a guy who said he had to do some work on it to make it as nice as it is...not sure what he meant, but it does function as one would expect from a 58mm SAK, nice snap and smooth action.
Cool Custom SAK FB! :cheers::hatsoff:

Day 18
Going to see the play Pirates of Penzance today. Taking a Midnite Vagabond with me. :tu:

Great content everyone, I was thinking about you awl while I sat outside and gave myself a Classic manicure
 Thanks Lisa, Vicman and Bill! I love that custom 58 Lisa :like: :tu:. That Spydie blade and those scales are awesome!!
It's downright oppressive temp wise here. I made a temporary water dish for the sheepdogs when they went outside a little bit ago.
Too late but I'll join anyway:
Haven't used my M4 for nearly 2 years. Why put cash into ammo that just gets used up when I could buy SAKs that will last forever instead :D
Day 18
Woke up with this around my arm... It was a simple 2-snips job for little Sigsetter.
I had to try the Minichamp and the peeler blade on this pill bottle. I understand that this was its intended purpose. It worked wonderfully!
Day 18.
Used the knife to cut Paratinder to make a firestarting lanyard for my Swisschamp.
Nice job Vicman! I used the peeler to open the seal on a supplement for Minichamp Monday!
Great uses you all!
Here it is Day 19 and I haven't really needed a knife larger than the 58mm, BUT I did need a new spinner, so here it is: :tu:
Nice spinner and Cool SAKS! :like: :tu: :tu:Thanks Vicman! The Celtic is on a MiniChamp, the Dragonfly is on a Vagabond! :tu:

Turned the Warncliffe blade loose on some stubborn trimmer cord on my DR Trimmer.
More great post today! It's great to see the little SAK's prove thier metal.
Day 19
Easy day just used my PTC as a bookmaker.
Great posts everyone. For Day 19 I've had a day of meetings and been out at public meeting this evening so for Monday Oneday it's been Ambassador time with my Brass Bullet for fiddle factor.

Day 20
I purchased this slingshot because I have a Lochsa knife.
I did a test sling with it the other day and the rock flung across my yard, hit the streetlight then ricocheted VERY close to my neighbor's car.
 ::). One of those moments Lisa!! I love that slingshot!!
You were right. We got a shipped chair in today and the Classic made short order of the box.
It was my maiden shot, I had no idea the power of the slingshot. :ahhhDay 20

Wasn't the kind of work day I was expecting... Some Philips screwdriving and bottle opening...
Here's a bit of a rainbow on today's pic.
Day 20.
Sorry for the lousy pic. I kept my 10 yr. old. Grand Nephew busy and entertained.
Thank you Barry, same to you!
Day 21
I ran out of table syrup, glad I had a restaurant packet. Used the 58mm scissors to open it:

Happy 4th!! My 81 is celebrating with it's French Cousin, a No. 4 :D
Day 21
Tightened up my sunglasses' temple hinge screws with the Philips screwdriver...
Oh and merry 4th of July to everyone (every day should be merry for everyone regardless of national holidays) :D

I ran out of table syrup, glad I had a restaurant packet. Used the 58mm scissors to open it:
I found, in dealing with helping my wife recover from surgery, that the Wenger's scissors cut adhesive tape a tad better than the Vic's.
Happy 4th everyone!

I like your Classic Bill!! :like: :like:+1
Happy Fourth everyone ! Interesting observation about the scissors Barry and one worth exploring.
I've done nothing with, but happily carried, my Clockwise Classic today. Nice to just have it there if I needed it.
Busy day with the 81 :D. I used the scissors to cut some lavender for my wife. I absolutely love the look of the Evo scales!

Little Wonky irritates me! :twak: :ahhh Not only does it have bent tips, it is dull.
I'm going to try and sharpen it and see if I can breathe new life into it.
 Thanks Vicman! Executive today.
Lovely breakfast(/brunch?/lunch?) right there :drool:It was brunch. I had purchased some Maple syrup from Quebec when there, I should have purchased a larger bottle!
I do feel an urge to send you a can of Maple syrup though... My Canadian side just can't bear the sight of table syrup

The Executive is hanging out with the Climber today.
Day 23.I think the Rambler has a good feel. That combo tool, ads some thickness to the Classic and I wanted you to have one. Glad to see you're going to pocket it today.
I'm torn between my PTC and my new hunter green Rambler (once again thank you FB). I started this challenge wanting to use the PTC for the whole 30 days but the green Rambler is begging to be carried. For the next few days I'm going to carry both. I'll only reach for the PTC if the Rambler can't do the task.

I agree with you FoBo about the Rambler. It's a good size and versatile. I thought the MiniChamp would be too much in the pocket but this hasn't proved to be so. I'm very pleased to be carrying mine and might well stick with it for the rest of the Challenge (unless I am tempted otherwise). However.... I'm going to disagree with you on the awl. I know the awl is very handy thing. But for me the missing tool on something that so obviously is a ready to carry anywhere SAK is the small glasses screwdriver. The PTC wins over the MiniChamp on this count alone and it's the one reason I was impressed with Leatherman Micra. So...
If Vic included a mini screwdriver in their 58mm line.... now that really would be amazing
And today I has been hassling the letters with the MiniChamp...

Day 23
After carrying the customized Spyderco/MiniChamp it became apparent that the LW scales belong on the wonky bladed SAK.
What to do? :ahhh I put different scales on the Spydie. I had two choices; scales with a built in LED and "Chip" on the scales, or LCS initials and a toothpick.
As you can see I went with "LCS".

So far a tame day for the PTC and me. About the biggest thing we've tackled has been letter opening!
Day 23
A few moustache adjustments and a lot of knife mail opening :D
DAY 24Good use of the MC Vicman! Your photo reminds me just how difficult some things are to get into. That tape around the bananas is one example. And the last time I tried to open a bag of chips, I couldn't believe how stubborn the seal was. I use to be able to do a top pinch and pull.
I used the blade on the alox MiniChamp to emancipate some bananas today.

Speaking of which, here's Ol Red cutting the plastic wrap off a carton of PG Tips.

So today was mostly Classic White for a little light de-packagefoolery, in this instance fizzy water, with my Leatherman BO Wave for some big box deconstruction (not shown - I'm still doing some life laundry).
I swapped out Mr White for the MiniChamp this evening and promptly had need of a toothpick. To misquote Snoopy "Curses Red Baron ... you've only got tweezers !!"
So Mr White was retrieved to save the day.
Day 24
Just a few more sak-mail opening today...
Tomorrow I leave for a weekday Scout Camp with my youngest. Unfortunately, it's come to my attention that I'll have no cell service, meaning I won't be able to post my pics to finish this awesome challenge. This had been one of the funniest challenges I've participating in so I hate to cut it short. I think we've got a really interesting selection of pics going on which is excellent, from the practical to the fun and the downright arty. I'm thoroughly enjoying your posts guys and the scope of the challenge is allowing me to ring the changes and keep the novelty
Okay folks, we're down to the last 3 days of the challenge and I have one more challenge.I'm game!
This challenge is open to ANYONE!!!!!!!
What might you win? One person will win a small item (under $15 value) sent to you if you're in the US. An electronic gift card if you're outside the US.
What must you do to be in the running?
Starting Wednesday, post a photo with a small SAK and one item (like a watch), this will be easier for watch collectors, or just something that you will have at least 3 of.
Day two, Thursday, post a photo with a small SAK and two similar items, as in 2 watches. The watch from day 1 and a new one added to day two.
Day three, Friday, post a photo with a small SAK and three similar items, the watches from days 1 and 2 plus your third one.
I'm a spinner collector of late, so tomorrow I plan to start with a SAK and one of my spinners. Though I'm not in the challenge, I still want to play along. :tu:
At the end of the challenge, I will pick a random number from random.org.
Who can participate??? ANYONE, you don't have to be part of this 30-day challenge!!!!
Bought myself a brushed aluminum PTC since I have a small PTC collection, maybe 5, but I didn't have this style.

Day 27
Tightened another pair of sunglasses. More knife-mail opening...
Also, I'm making a giveaway too:
The prize is *something* that I've added a little touch to.
The winner is *someone* who participated in this challenge.
The package already left this morning. It will probably arrive a few days after this challenge ends.
I ask that the winner post about it here but only when he or she receives the package.
I'm not kidding :D
Day 28
Here goes my first submission in the "longer Swiss blades" category.
Here's an officer dagger 1943 model (with sub-officer "lanyard") from Elsener.
These are blunt pieces meant as "parade gear" (or whatever that's called)
Quite often the price of these is defined by the type of lanyard (the Officer's lanyard making the piece way more expensive) and the condition of the lanyard. Mine being a sub-Officer's lanyard in not-so-great condition, the price was reasonable :D I've seen some officer lanyards (without any dagger) in very good condition go for more than I paid the whole thing xD

Thank you GS, I found out it's actually brushed stainless steel! :tu:Bought myself a brushed aluminum PTC since I have a small PTC collection, maybe 5, but I didn't have this style.

I don't have any spinners, and yes I could post a watch or two, but I'm certainly guilty of collecting Fisher Bullet pens. They're very good for fiddle/distraction factor in meetings.
Here's my shiny gold Titanium Nitride bullet pen with The Red Baron !

To bad most of my A&W Root Beer mugs are in storage. Here's one that I haven't been able to put a date on yet. I believe it's from the late 50's early 60's.

And I can't believe it's already over!
So here's my day 30/mini-challenge day 3
Adding to the previous 2 blades a commemorative sword made in 1991 to celebrate the 700 years of existence of the Swiss Confederacy. I'm assuming poor little Sigsetter was feeling rather small next to the other 3... He's the only one that gets to ride in my pocket though :D
DAY 30Thanks VICMAN! Bit sleepy this morning... I completely forgot about your cool macramé paracord bracelets!
Made it to the finish line with my Alox MiniChamp and 3 paracord bracelets that I made.
I want to thank FB ......it has been a fun challenge! :tu: :tu:  :D

Thank you all for taking this journey with me, it was my first hosted challenge, so I was learning as I go.
I have one more spinner to show you. It's called a GlowBro, it's supposed to have 20 trits installed in it, but I have to find a reasonably priced trit supplier.
It's the spinner on the right:

It has been a fun Challenge and in great company. So thank you FoBo for kicking this off. I've thoroughly enjoyed myself and pushed the boat out with The Red Baron my new MiniChamp. This Challenge nudged me into that very useful and snug multitool.
Well done everyone for keeping with it and I hope it gave a few other folks a bit of fun to watch ! :2tu:
This has been fun to follow and the small ones does pack a punch! Might have to get me a couple of the other sizes. 58mm are great but between them and 91.. Well a LOT to choose from.
Good work everyone
[It's not failure if you learn something from it]
Good on awl of you for completing this Challenge, I enjoyed following along, as well as participating briefly

Thank you all so much for participating in the 74mm and under challenge.
I found that I hardly ever needed a multitool any larger for daily urban tasks.
As for the little gift for completing the last challenge within the challenge, I assigned each of you numbers:
FaB 22
GS 44
Syem 66
Vicman 88
Then random.org selected 41, so GS, you're getting a little item sent to you!
Congrats!

Finally got caught up! Great challenge with a wonderful, generous host!
My Minichamp made the trip, with the pen and the main blade seeing most of the use in filling out merit badge forms and cutting open snacks :D. My Ironman watch didn't fare well in the Polar Bear Plunge, so that lovely Philips head opened the back up and saved the day. We were in a camp, so I had no need of a saw or anything larger. I never felt I needed anything else!

Thanks again FB for animating such an awesome challenge and for all the giveaways!!!
Still packing my Minis! I used my Rambler's scissors to cut a bouquet of wildflowers for my wife.
The badge is now available :tu:
This one was a tricky one to come up with something that would fit in a small badge. Kevin came up with the idea of the ≤ symbol meaning equal to or less than hence the ≤74 . Unfortunately scaled down it only looks like < but It works :tu:

Guess what!? I was the winner!
I remember reading this post and wondered who would be the lucky one and had been waiting to see a post about it, only to discover I had won!
I was away from home for a few days and this was put in a mail collecting location that I thought was not my pile of mail, so I didn't discover it until this morning!
This is very special Syem and I love it!
Look at what was inside! A beautiful SAK with my name engraved by the Geneva Victorinox flagship store! Sincerest of thanks Syem!

I'm still carrying 58mm SAKs, I haven't gone back to 91mm yet.
Very interesting topic! I carried a black classic SD from the early 1980s through 2015 before going with 91mm SAKs. These days, I have been carrying an Executive. It is so compact that I forget that I am carrying it until I need it and the tools are very useful. There is lots of love for the Executive.
Congrats everyone on the funnest challenge I think I've ever been in!!Thank you Barry, I tried to make it fun. I'm trying to think up another challenge, but it may be a while.
