This is so typical.
One has a knife, then comes a challenge to use it, and then all the sudden one needs a new one to actually use because the other one wasn't supposed to be used :D
Yes, a challenge I can participate in…And a nice one to be doing the Challenge with! :tu:

I don´t think I´ll ever do a challenge again, I´m happy with the few that I did. :salute:
This is apealing. I've been curious about the MC. I'll have to see how things go with the Schrade Tough Tool challenge and if the month of February is kind enough for me to find one I at the right price in time. I may just be challenged out for a little while. We will see.
I'm in. But I'll have to buy another MiniChamp. The one I owned before had multiple issues, and my sharpening skills were in their infancy, so I made a mess out of the tracheotomy (emergency/Wharncliffe) blade.
I don’t have a Mini Champ, but I’ve always wondered if they really offer enough additional utility to justify the weight penalty over the Classic. If I can’t find a cheap used one, I’ll still be a spectator.

Okay, I picked you 3 as you're all in the US which makes shipping less expensive for me, and here's my offer. Cody gets first pick, then Mizedog, then Douglas gets the last one by default.
I have 3 extra MiniChamps that are used that I have picked up along the way. They're very nice, just not mint, and not in original box. I will offer these to you for free and shipped for free. It is not a pressure to participate either. Just so you can have them and find out what the mighty MiniChamp is all about.
The left one is a Midnite Mini with a dim RED LED light. The middle and last one are standard and pretty much the same..they show some scale wear mostly.
Cody, what's your pick? Once you pick, please PM your shipping address.

Most currently available, if not all, red alox Minichamps are made on request by a store.Seriously?

MiniChamp with Princeton Tec Sync and Quad Tactical
Got them both at a discount and simply could not pass them up.
The Sync has a very intuitive mode dail and the Quad is waterproof.
So, I'll participate i nthe MMMC (M3C?) with my trusty old Celidor MiniChamp.
Ray, here's the link. https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,80468.0.htmlThat is a very nice challenge you are doing in his memory. :salute: :hatsoff:
It's for a member, Music Man, who was a big fan of the Gerber Center Drive, that passed away. If the link doesn't work, it's over on the Gerber section.
Are there any specific rules that have to be met for this challenge, other than a pic per day?
If I can join with an Alox Minichamp, I'd like to give it a try.

I'm dropping out. The forum is not working for me at all, slow loads and freezing all the time. 9 out of 10 times it just won't open. So, honestly, I lost my interest.
Next to that i'm still running in and out of the hospital with my dad, takes up a lot of time.
Have fun with the challenge!

I bought this accessory case that holds a MiniChamp that allows the knife to stay inside the case when using the LED. You just press on the leather and it shines through the hole at the bottom of the case.

Everybody knows that pickles should come in a dainty glass jar... That is fact.
The Vlasic brand in the jar are definitely the best I have found. Very crunchy, and I don't think they are "pasteurized". The lid does not pop when you open them.

Day 2 part 2.How does the toothpick hold up? I tried this with a non-Vic toothpick a few years ago, but the toothpick broke.
I switched out my other MiniChamp in order to use the one seen below. What I like about it is the white LED plus a pen, then the toothpick is tucked into the lanyard. I rarely have a use for tweezers, so I don't miss having them.

Nice work Jaypeebee :like: :tu:
what is that bearing for it is rather large
Day 2
A beer for the Mrs. and me after a long day of travel. The caplifter needed a second try, although these Asahi bottles are a bit strange, their collar is different - the other day I tried with a LM bottle opener and it was a total failure, the tool didn't even fit the cap, so this is a win for the Minichamp.

Powernoodle Day 3
Victorinox Minichamp and Explorer Plus, mini Sharpie, Acebeam M10 light, and S&W 442.[/i]

Sorry for entering so late guys, I wanted to start yesterday but our flight was delayed over three hours and by the time we got home I was tired. Got some Chinese takeaway and after that immediately went to bed because this morning I had to get up real early for a 2 hour train drive to get to a 2 hour meeting for work (and after that 2 hours back by train).
Anyway...here's Day 1!
Used the MiniChamp to get my new battery charger out of this disaster they dare to call packaging

Mactire - MCC06
First off, apologies to the mod who has removed the picture from my previous post. I should have been more considerate about the coffee.
The MC saw a whole lot of action today.
In the morning I had to open a box of eyePads. Not to be confused with iPads. We use these to cover patients eyes during examination.
A great pre of the 58mm SAKs is that even the Large Blade does not scare the muggles.
Then I made coffee and the puck got really stuck in the filterholder. I'm under the impression fresh coffee expands more when wet than pre-ground store bought coffee. Used the Ruler to loosen the grounds.
Doggo is sick. He needs medication. But the pills they prescribed are for heavier dogs. So I used the Nailfile to reduce the weight of the pill and meet the apropriate dosage requirement.
When it was time to go to bed I had to turn off the TV. The power button is broken so the Cuticle Pusher did a fine job pressing the switch inside the TV.

Lisa, you have all the cool toys! Mags will be jealous :rofl:It's my only action figure. I posted it in Mags' thread.
The angle of the photo is just absolutely wrong. Super busy this week. Going to redo photo this weekend. Does anyone like "MultiTool.Org is more than just knives"?

Day 11
Apart from some minor nailfiling no task for the Minichamp today, but I did touch up the main blade. (And then some other SAK's and knives while I was at it.)
Used the scissors and nailfile to trim and round off cable ties that keep the excess cord on my wired mouse (with the Mad Catz RAT mice, they burn batteries, and it seems I've had trouble getting my RAT-M to work after updating the laptop to 10) all the while poking me when I use it. But I'll probably end up trying the RAT M yet again. It has more buttons, especially good in games that have weird button choices, like on one where the CAPS key changes vehicles. Not to mention the "slow motion" feature I never used, and kept accidentally activating (it used the tab key) With this computer and mouse, I completely eliminated that problem; by completely removing slow-motion from the key bindings, and swapping the caps key for the illuminated button on this mouse.

Finally put this old jewelry box (obviously homemade and hand-painted) to use, I found it in a bunch of junk whoever was running the estate sale didn't think would sell. It is missing something at the top, and a drawer pull. Think it cost me $5. I've had it 10 years. The family who originally owned the place immigrated from Germany over 100 years ago, but I don't think it's that old. Very solid construction, and it obviously took whoever made it a long time.
The white desk organizer mostly holds sheaths and my checkbook (as well as charging cables and eyeglasses cleaning supplies), while this jewelery cabinet will hold smaller EDC items, like watches pens, smaller folders, and my cellphone.

but was easier and arguably faster to use here:

...and for the 'fun' of it:

Examples like these are why I like challenge threads! Thanks again for the suggestion!
The best photos are created, not just taken! :hatsoff: I expect some light PS work for perfect photos! Another reason to like challenge threads! :tu:
They might be small (though the Kershaw is quite heavy), but they pack a punch and perform way above what you'd think they would do.

Day 26
Opening a jar of crunchy Biscoff Cookie Butter, I prefer the smooth over the crunchy though.

I could only get both the toothpick, tweezers in their, and retain the pen...I know what you mean. You can put the toothpick in a lanyard like I do. and keep the tweezers and pen in the scales.
Grump-eey-cat, Grump-eey-cat, It's time for some Fuzzy dialogue... Day 26?

I, uh, managed to misplace it somehow this morning. Here's a photo of the backup. Hopefully I can find the one I've been using for the past 20-something days. Logo scales were off a broken Bijou. It's for CAE systems, a company who does training and builds simulators for the aerospace industry. These scales were a replacement for the red ones I broke, and they're damaged as well and aren't snapping onto the scales. Thinking I'll go with Stayglow on this one. What do y'all think?

Day 30
Opening up a cuff button hole on a shirt that came accidentally uncut.
And wow, these 30 days flew by incredibly fast, I think this was my "quickest" 30 day challenge so far. It was fun, and proved how versatile the Minchamp is. In this past month only one of the tools on it did not see any use from my side, the ruler/flathead SD.
Day 30
Flea and Tic prevention for the dog........

Thank you for hosting the challenge Obi1shinobee. I already have the badge from another challenge, silly me, I thought there was going to be a MiniChamp badge.
But I don't feel slighted, I carry this MiniChamp a lot.
These two mods are on standby though, they're both variations of a Yeoman:

I was going to make a corny joke about your little nuts underneath, that's all... but it was too easy... and predictable...

Was going to do the same but refrained for the same reason. I mean he has two hanging up there when he asked. Just too easy.
