Are you taking orders? :DSure do... you pay in cash or body parts?
I heard of people leaving a knife in an apple for 24h to apply an instant patina.I wouldn't know. I think I will take the slow route, use it daily, and clean it instantly after use...
Would that work here too or would it mess up the blade?
Potatoes are probably the best thing to build up a nice steady patina.... So just peel and force-feed your family lots of tatties for the next few weeks. :2tu:Thanks for the tip, onions seem to create a strong reaction too...
Got a knife making course gifted for my birthday by the best wife ever!
Very VERY well done for a first knife! :cheers:Technically, it is my 3rd.... I made a Higonokami (https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,71833.25.html) 2 years back and about 20 years ago I made another one (I should dig that one up and take a picture). Though I have to say, this is my best work so far. The Higo is not bad either, but it does not make it in my pockets often (no clip, not oho, not locking), this, I plan on using every day.
this, I plan on using every day.
I think it might be a fake ... it doesn't seem to have a "Swiss made" stamp on it ... :think:It does say so... its woven into the pattern in hieroglyphs.
:pommel:Show contentJust kidding, beautiful knife Beat, I would buy that in a heart beat if I saw it in a shop somewhere. Awesome work :tu:. And keep the Misses close mate, what a great gift from her...
