Did a walk from the lovely little town of Llangollen a couple of weeks ago.

Just outside of the town is the remains of Castell Dinas Bran, a medieval castle built approx 1260. Also on the site is an Iron Age hillfort, circa 600BC.

Growing around the place were these fungi. Don't know what they are.

On the way back, we got the stoves out and made some bacon butties. I remembered the pan handle this time and didn't have to use the Skeletool. Saved getting it covered in bacon fat.

I think those mushies might be ink caps on their way out... they deliquesce leaving a kind of black ink as they go. Hard to tell from just one pic though. Ink caps are tasty when young but NEVER eat with alcohol :drink:
