Title: Around the Bucegi Plateau
Post by: Corwyn on August 14, 2014, 06:11:27 PM
My girlfriend (mountain goat that she is) convinced me to leave the cosyness of my office and go to the Bucegi plateau last weekend. I took some photos of my sak and I saw that you guys liked it, so I figured I'd post a few more photos from my day up high:

At the bottom of the cable-car: You didn't think I'd climb for 6 hours to get to the plateau, right?

The Carpathian Sphinx - same (yeah, the little one is me):

My girlfriend went ahead to scout the way (she's the little dot on the ridge):

Interesting, first time I've seen an up close photo of edelweiss, they don't look like the printed version on Victorinox knives.  :ahhh

Ocasionally. She is pretty much up in the mountains every weekend. I have neither the time, skills or endurance to do the really tricky paths. I go with her about once or twice per month.

True. The current one is very stylized.

The older ones look more like the real thing, though
