I'd love to hear people's stories about what they've put their SAKs through and different uses that they have come up with for them besides just the ones listed on the box. The more creative. the better! :climber:

I´n not that creative person - not regularly, at least.
Well, I´ve used the corkscrew on an SAK for untying knots in shoelaces almost several times. No sharp edges like a blade or an awl that could damage the lace.
-
I was once successful in using the wire bender as a wire stripper. Couldnt replicate that result though.

The fish scaler works perfectly as a key for old steamer trunks.
-
Corkscrew for removing wax from candlesticks.
-
Check out some of Jothra's threads for how he's used tools way beyond what they were designed to do
-
Fish scaler makes a good tool to stretch springs in tight places -- like down inside an access control lock which needs that done to replace the return spring ....
The Aerojet

I've used the fish scaler as a fork for canned fruit with mixed results. :D
The Wenger can opener makes a wicked box opener.

Range finder.

The Vic can opener has a couple of different uses for me. One is, opening those pistachio nuts that have only the tinniest crack in the shell. The little SD tip on the can opener works great opening them up.
Also the point of the can opener blade is a great staple puller, as is the little SD tip on the classic nail file tool.
The SD tip on the classic works decent as a bottle opener on imported beer. I use the SD tip to just gently pry up the crown cap edges about halfway around the cap then pop it off with my thumb. But sometimes I just use my house key.

I've been using the can opener for splitting stuck Lego, the screwdriver edge prises the bricks apart like it was designed for the job.

I sometimes have used sak as wire. To demonstrate, example to test if lamp work if having battery:
