Do you carry an EDC bag? What's in there?
I'm waiting for my new sling bag to arrive and am gathering some stuff I want in there.

There are a few more items that are needed, for example a powerbank. Need to buy a new one, the Xtorm died on me last month.
Oh, and some painkillers for those headaches…
I live in an urban environment, so need for axes or stuff like that.
What do you think I should add?

Used to wear that on my duty belt to carry medical gloves. Since I'm a dispatcher now, I don't need it at the job anymore.

Collected some extra stuff.
* Hand sanitizer
* Headphones
* Tissues
* Little bike light to clip on my bag
* Found another powerbank
* Pain meds
* My personalized leather notebook

A better look at the 'pens'. Like the screwdriver, can always come in handy.

Here’s a pic of my bag, I’m not going through everything, too much to list, but as you can see there’s medical, some tools, food stuff, poncho, light stick, monocular, idk where the flashlight is, and some other stuff.
That’s the big bag, which you can see I made very unique, there’s plenty of room for everything, yet, if while out if I need room to put stuff in you can unzip and it doubles in size!
That other smaller one is what I used to carry, everything would fit but “packed”.. I gave it to the kid but I’m kinda thinking of taking it back and not using the one I have cause there’s soooo much room in the one I have..

Putting it al together, it may be a little bit too much. See if I can slim it down a bit.
But the bag needs to arrive first so I can really see how it's working all together.

Now hoping my new bag will arrive soon!

I don't EDC a bag but if I did it would be to full of stuff... :D
A female coworker of mine does carry a handbag. The thing is, in the bag there is something like a had bag organiser. Then she has an absurdly big wallet (I've seen girls with handbags of that size). And in the wallet there are credit cards in plastic protective cases. So she has this matryoshka doll of stuff with stuff in it to carry other stuff in going on. :D
Also, I am looking at some messenger bags. Might actually buy one once in the near future. :think:
-
Had too much stuff too, so slimmed it down a little.
Think this might be nice.
Ordered little tactical pouch at Ali Express.
That will be there instead of that leather pouch.
I think it will also replace the glove pouch and the headphone pouch. Notebook can benpit in there also.
Everything neatly tucked together.
I ordered the black version of this.

Slimming down my EDC never worked for me. As soon as I get some extra space it inevitably fills up. EDC abhors any lack of too much gear. :D :facepalm:
-
The bag has arrived!!! A little smaller then I thought, but still very nice.
Left out the glove pouch, takes up too much room.
If I recieve my little tactical pouch, everything from the leather bag, headphone pouch and glove pouch can go in one little pouch.
Now the bag!!!
Front and back…
There's an extra loop that'll go around your hips. Not gonna use that, so tucked it away a little.
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181210/ed36524e91cd58c55b1958e81c4efc81.jpg)
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181210/e3fef416ccc4d4d735ef9ea7009061bd.jpg)
The inside…
There's a little mesh pocket on the side and a big pocket at the bottom.
I still need to add the powerbank, but that one is still charging. But, plenty of room.
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181210/7f07ddff75da60c47cb3cd4e7a45d222.jpg)
In the belt is a little pouch at the front and I already found out that my car keys fit perfectly.
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181210/295a4e6c4406867f9fe9c7d3b3028d92.jpg)
There's a little pocket on the front side of the bag, perfect for gum and stuff.
Also put on a little light that can switch between red and white.
I take a lot of walks and this way people can see me better in the dark.
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181210/22257ca9e9b325bdfc88070dee5006ac.jpg)
It's not too heavy and sits comfortable on my right shoulder. I think I'm gonna like this a lot!!!

Cute bag, I guess it’s now time to decorate the bag?

Well you put the light on it, no other goodies to put on it?

You're right…
Put three really little pins on there. But I put them on to keep the belts in place.
This one I've got because I adopted a name on 'The wall of the missing' at the American War Cemetery in Margraten.
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181210/4dc41dd4747921787d298d5bf1f3199b.jpg)
The poppy flower I've got because I've adopted a grave at the British War Cemetery in Brunssum.
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181210/453e066c0763241a5510f6181c3ffb36.jpg)
A couple of years ago 'Serious Request' (A DJ thing to raise money for the Red Cross) was in the city I worked. Cops could buy this little pin, so I did.

See you gotta start dressing it up,,

A little dressing up makes it personal :like:
Nice bag :tu:
That screwdriver with (4 mm?) bit kit is intriguing - where did you get that?

Thanks Serena, the red aluminium one looks like a handy addition to my portable tool kit :tu:
-
They are a neat little screwdriver, I got the same one and it’s come in handy a couple times, i think I got mine off eBay, but I’ve seen them even in stores, only diff between some of them are the bits. I think they even had a three pack, three colors, yet one had all Philips/reg, another Allen, and other torx..
JR

Maybe I'll switch some bits out with the other 'big' set. See if I can buy another one just for the bits and add the best ones to the 'pen'.

I wish more of 4mm hex bits were double headed. That would make it so much easier to put together a decent EDC screwdriver set. I am also in the proces of making one. I am still waiting to get all the pieces. And at least some of the bits come form a pen screwdriver like yours. :D

I used to lug around a heavy tactical bag filled with every thing needed to run away from home in a instant. That got really old. These days I don't carry a bag with me unless I am going to be spending a minimum of several hours in a fixed place otherwise my "EDC" bag stays in the truck if I bother to bring it at all. Okay, so here's what's in it: some ball point pens and mechanical pencils, A notebook and manuals applicable to the task at hand. A hand full of cough drops, a small bottle of ibuprofen, a bandana, some ear plugs, a hard sided eye glass case, a couple tea bags, some stevia packets, 15' paracord and a carabiner or two (I practice knots), a small bottle of hand sanitizer, a water bottle, a handful of napkins and paper towels in a plastic bag, a SAK Compact and a LED mini-Maglite.
The truth is when I carry it, my bag is more for what I might find along the way rather than what I all ready have. There are always the other things that might be added, a hat, balaclava or keffiyeh, gloves, lunch or snacks, a paperback book. If I'm at a farmers market or swap meet I'll include a cloth shopping bag.
-
I like the new bag and pouch Serena. They should serve you well. I carry pretty much the same items as every other member of this forum, but as I've mentioned in several previous threads I added a tube of Toothache Gel to my first aid kit. It doesn't take much space but if you get a toothache late at night when the stores are closed, or when you're away from home, it will save you from ruined plans and indescribable pain.

Nice basic kit. I have a couple of questions. What's the point of the Cinder? There's nothing it can do that the MP 400 and the Ranger can't. Why a mini Bic, when you can have a full sized one? the same for the flashlight, full size seems more sensible.

Cinder is for more precise and controlled cuts.
MP 400 is for the pliers and bit kit.
Ranger for metal file, wood saw, chisel, better scisors.
Mini bic to fit in bic metal case. Because is nice. (Don't carry It on pockets while working)
Small flashlight only for emergencies.
In my work I use only ATEX / IECEx electronics. It include flashlights
