HI Zenostoic,

In truth I don't notice much difference.  I bought mine 2nd hand, so it had already been sharpened once.  I guess it's a little sharper than typical, but that cuts both ways since I think it's also harder to sharpen.

Thank you Myron, very interesting!!

:like:

I’ve thought about how we might be able to do a “30 Challenges Challenge”

There are a number of iconic or  quintessential tasks for a multitool… some are mundane daily tasks, and some are rare but representative of the self-reliance that a multitool carries.

It might be something that spans a whole year, with the 30 tasks to be completed as the need arises. It would run concurrently with other challenges.

The list of tasks could include:

- Make a stove out of a can.

- use pliers at camp for something other than lifting a pot

- cut something loose in a time-sensitive situation.

- open a bottle or can where no other standard opener is available

- open a coconut (my personal favorite)
Interesting concept for a challenge

I am tempted by one to take with me to work (if I can get one in the UK) rather than take my expensive (but very good) Charge TTi.

There are some modern edc problems that others have tried to answer.

Ruike released the Tech Tool SAK-alike knives, with pocket clips for easier pocket carry, screws for maintenance and adjustments, G10 scales that are durable.

Leatherman released their SAK-alikes, with pocket clips, locking tools, and all oho tools.

Roxon is designing a modular pocket knife to allow custom load-outs.

I would love a pocket clip on my Farmer X. I'd love to be able to remove the blades on my Deluxe Tinker to be able to carry it everywhere.

If Victorinox releases a bladeless model that works for me, I'll get it.
