Title: Any recommendations for a clean and none flashy / tacky looking DIN 1 unit.
Post by: MMR on February 25, 2019, 06:05:36 PM
I am just asking on here, just to see if anyone on here has any recommendations.

So the previous owner of my Jeep installed this really tacky looking DIN 1 unit instead of the factory unit, with ugly and annoying bright blue lights and this stupid light show going on too....in other words, I hate looking at the stupid thing.

Does any of any of you have any recommendations for a clean, none flashy / tacky looking DIN 1 unit?

Just a cheap one, all it really needs to have is bluetooth, so I can pair my phone with it for calls and music, I don't care about all the apple carplay, reverse camera blah blah blah stuff.... don't even care if it has a CD or mp3 player...I don't even have an ipod or own any CDs anymore.

I put a JVC KD-X50BT + a pocket in place of the 2 din factory radio in my car. It was the cheapest bluetooth/android/usb (and apple support too) unit I found by a brand I had actually heard of before.

It might be a tad flashy for you, but you can change the colour and brightness of the backlighting. (perhaps that's something the unit you have can also do?)
