Title: What are they for?
Post by: IMR4198 on August 05, 2023, 04:17:34 PM
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]        The fellows who have been around awhile know what these are.  Maker is C.S.Osborne from Newark.  I will give you one hint.  As if you need one, right?  The maker generally sells upholstery tools now.  This isn't one of them.  It is marked with a 7.  Best wishes Gary

Hi Old Boy,
I bet they would work for that.  I have used them for various things through the years, but they were made for another purpose.  Do you want a hint?  *** pliers.  Best wishes. Gary

[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]  Well, what would you like?  Give another hint?  Tell you the name?  Let me know.  I do have another of these, but smaller.  I will post a photo.  Only marking on this one is forged steel.  Osborne was marked cast steel.  Best wishes. Gary

That's the story.  About any sort of gas appliance.  The teeth are really rugged, so they gorp up the fittings a little.  The set of teeth on the very front of the tool are great for reaching down into tight spots.  Best wishes. Gary (IMR)
