The mrs was opening (well trying to) a couple cans of beans an Rotel tomatoes and the handle snapped off the opener. She immediately asked our youngest to run to the store and get a new can opener. She then told me she would have to wait to make dinner and I was like  Why don't you just use my Swiss Army Knife? It has a can opener in it. She proceeded to use it, stabbing the can  I then took it from her and finished the work.

I then used the main blade to cut a cigar to smoke for my cool down routine from the gym and all that can opening work.

This is hardly even fair. The Huntsman can do basically anything.
Vicky currently lives in my silverware drawer. It's the primary can opener, bottle opener, and corkscrew in my new apartment.
-
My black huntsman is my most carried sak. I can't even think of how many times it has saved the day!

Not Too big, using a P7 clip and dont notice it!

:like: Mine was my sole EDC for 32 years. One of these days I'm going to write a book on all the times it bailed me out of a jam! Nice post and great job!! :tu: :tu:

The Huntsman is an awesome SAK just not perfect for me but it is very versatile indeed

Good to hear how our MT.o heroine is doing these days. :D
I still use that knife as an example when people say the 91s are dinky, fragile toys.

The Huntsman can do basically anything.
I wouldn't say anything. A friend of mine parked his car one evening and when he returned to his car, the lot was closed with a chain across the driveway. He used the metal saw in his SAK to cut the chain.

I don't even own a Huntsman, but that is a good story

Not quite "saved the day" But in one day- main blade- one letter, one cord; scissors 2x, philips on the opener and the mounted eyeglass sd 1x.
Now the entire job comes to me! Thanks Vic.....

My Huntsman from down under offered me a SAK Rambler. It's been in my pocket ever since.

I got the pics to prove it, too! Today's EDC, with a traditional pattada folder. It even has a little pouch, so as not to get scratched.

Corkscrew or scissors?
Usually corkscrew! :drink:
-
I don't have a huntsman, but a SAK has saved the day for me countless times by just being there and having a basic tool on hand to fix something.

One last one for this thread, I just found out the tweezers, not the grey plastic tip ones, will sound the note D when plucked by your ear.
Well it Could be to the rescue if you have a guitar tuning emergency.....

Actually, yesterday, walked down to the club, all the ladies had wine for game day and no corkscrew? Grew legs? So SAK did save the day. :drink:
-
One more!
Everyone taps their pockets loking for a pen, I installed plus scales so, I pulled out the little pen, good enough. :tu:
-
One more and you would have had a hat trick! But still great going. :like:

My first "real" pocket knife was a Huntsman. I got it from my dad when I was about 8 years old and we made holidays in Switzerland. I stil know it as it would have been yesterday.
I was a young lad and with this tool I was the King of the playground as I had a saw... a real working saw... we did what boys do and I got older and the Huntsman is still on my side. Then I had to go to German Army - Mountainman - in Berchtesgaden and I got a GAK. I was so happy with it. After my time in the Army I bought a used GAK - but no beaten one - and it followed me as well for a long long time.
Today the Huntsman is sitting in its drawer, cleaned, sharpened and well oiled.
It also saved my day for several occassions and moments. Great memory.

:tu: I dont think I need the saw, but the dumb Fire Fly on the plus scale with the pen, large gifted Ti pocket clip... keep going back to Mr Huntsman!
-
I went 25 years without using that saw, but once I got started it's making up for lost time. Great tool kit on board that SAK!

Using it daily, but not the saw, yet... :dunno:

BTW, many SAKs can save the day! Use a screwdriver most, occasionally corkscrew :drink:

...but I gotta say- don't forget a Real corkscrew (or El Corkscrew )
