Vandal!
Did you manage to do much with it before that happened, Kev?
-
We were quite brutal with it, to be fair. That happened when we (cupboard and me) we trying to baton through a piece of well seasoned timber. It performed fairly well as a light axe up until then though.
The arrow/spear head made a pretty good chucking toy. :D
-
It took some battering to do that. Before that it performed surprisingly well.

I'm so pissed off I can't get there and even more pissed off I couldn't do anything if I was (broke two bones in my hand last night. Off my face on painkillers).
-
No problem mate, we will hopefully see you next year. A couple of others didn't come either so there were more strippers for us to enjoy

More annoying than painful. Eating was difficult and so was getting dressed. Just a stupid accident

Looks like Tom's collapsible travel oven. I'm not sure what's on top, but anything Tony cooks usually looks ... ummm ... well done

It looks like a turd. But who knows
-
The turd looking thing is a paint stripping disk off Sparkys battery grinder.

The card axe thing... hmmm. The spear bit worked though I'm not sure what useful purpose it served. The other bit took a lot of (not my) effort to lash in to the stick, performed OK at clearing brambles but you'd never have cut a tree down with it. The saw was rubbish, it just clogged up and required cleaning almost every stroke. More irritatingly it cut through the lashing cord. We did break it whilst batoning but you need to split logs somehow! I was surprised that it snapped rather than bending. The grind on the blade was a bit shonky out of the packet, but it sharpened up easily enough. The edge was very easy to ding.
Aside from that, a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Sparky even showed me round his car boot which was a great privilege. I even bought myself some rust of my very own :)
-
Well I did make it home but the journey didn't go quite to plan. I set off later than hoped (too hot to move), and got slower and slower in the heat. Coupled with problems with one of my tyres it meant that I'd only done about 35 miles in 3 hours and want going to make it home before about 10 o'clock. So I phoned my wife to come and rescue me. :D
Anyway, thanks to the guys for a great weekend. :like:

Looks like everyone had a most enjoyable time and I wish I could have made it. Hopefully next year though.
