Would anybody be able to give me any info on this.i bought it at a yard sale.its either rubbish or it could be something special.it has FR.KRAUSE SOLINGEN GERMANY stamped on all the blades.
-
I'm going to move it over to the Collector's Forum since it has very little to do with Leatherman!. Seems we have had some info on grooming kits like this one some time ago. I would suggest though, that anything stamped SOLINGEN likely isn't rubbish.

This doesn't look like a grooming kit to me. Looks more like a multi-use tool kit.
I like the looks of it, looks like a great find to me.

Yes, I meant that there were grooming kits that were made similar to this one! Call me unhygenic if you like, but I'm not sure I want to groom any part of myself with a saw! :o

Can you do some pictures of it out of the case / assembled Gav?

I've seen them before, even mad ones with little hammer head attachments. I've put the odd bid in on them on eBay just out of curiosity but they always sell well.
There are English variations on the same theme but the quality isn't the same at all.

Neat bit of kit you got there gav! :tu: I've seen these interchangable blade knife sets with several different Solingen maker's logos. The older ones are nickel plated steel. The ones from about 1970 onward are stainless steel.

Now would be the time to admit just how many of those sets you own. :pok: Come on, it'll be good for your soul :P

None actually. :-\ My interests lean more to the "tool" side, and these old kits seem a little more "knifey."

Anyone else thinking that this is the route that Vic should be going with the Rescue tool saw system?

Oh yah!! :tu:
Some interchangable blades for where the glass breaker attaches would be great!

Hi all,new to forum. This is a multi tool set. Different manufacturers have made these sets for over a hundred years.I had an old one made by Napanoch knife co. that was over 100 years old. Hope this helped.
