Title: Busted my ExoTac Nanostriker
Post by: JP on August 03, 2017, 04:19:14 PM: Took out my Nanostriker to start a campfire at a cottage the other day and the firesteel broke off inside the threaded cap. I can't get any purchase on it to get the broken plug out.

My next firesteel will be bigger, the Exotac Nanostriker is too small for me fat fingers.

Post by: pfrsantos on August 03, 2017, 04:48:18 PM: Get a toothpick or ~~cottonete~~ Q-tip, put some crazy glue in it and try to glue it to the rod and then pull it out.

What happens is it starts drilling then 'bites' and unscrews the remainder of the rod. Worked for me when I broke mine. Maybe the striker is the way to go.
