Title: SAM Splint anyone?
Post by: Aloha on November 02, 2015, 06:33:15 PM
I bought a couple of these for use when hiking.  Twisting an ankle or injuring a wrist/finger/elbow from falling/tripping are probably more likely a concern when out. Being able to splint up an injury on the spot is a nice option to have vs finagling some sticks to fashion a splint.

Its very lightweight tho bulkyish.  I feel the size weight vs different splinting applications is a win which has me carrying this item when out on hikes.  I have a few in my home first aid bag as well.

I'm in no way affiliated with this company nor benefit from the sales of this product, just passing info along.

I have a couple in my kits. I think they're a nice piece of kit if you can spare the space (bit bulky as you mentioned). Thankfully haven't had cause to use them yet.
