Completely and utterly drool-worthy  :salute:
Fantastic collection mate.
I generally like popcorn, gnarly stag and the Germans seem to get the best stag.
Cthulu loves your collection ponch!

There's some really nice stag there.
I have to admit I know nothing about Hen & Rooster, it's not a brand I grew up with. Maybe I should start looking at them.

Wow, I almost missed this post. Awesome collection Poncho!!
I'll have agree with Dean here. There is some gnarly stag in there that really caught my eye!
I've had my eye on a H&R whittler lately, and this might just send me over the edge! :to:
In fact if you look closely at the emblem of the green one you will notice a mustang instead of the H&R regular emblem :tu: It is a mustang whittler and I have carried this one in the past but just not a lot ;)
Very nice. I didn't know they existed. Do you use any?
I would advice that you see th H@R before you buy it, or get the seller to send you some photographs. Check for blade rub, blade centering and soft springs

I have a dealer that I trust. That is the only guy I would buy from online.
I like them in the pictures (H&R, RR, Buck, Case, all) but SAKs are more modern with tools ready for today's world.
Still, these classic shapes and materials are very nice.

Many moons ago I started a thread purely on Stag. To say the interest was minimal will be an understatement... :)

When you started it we all thought there would be strippers and beer :dd:

that will be seen as self-promotion
Very nice collection. It's really a shame these and other trads aren't available in shops overhere.

Really good looking knives here!
Would you happen to have a Mini Coke Bottle pattern? Saw one on ebay with stag handles and before I bid, I would like to get the opinion of somebody who has much to say about Hen and Rooster. :D
I do not have one of those :o I have carried and/or bought H&R knives the better part of my life and have never had one break on me and while I haven't ever really been rough on a knife they are still very tough and we'll put together knives  I think some of these might be made in China now but not for sure about that  All the ones I have are either German or Spanish made though and of very high quality and great fit and finish :tu:

Oh I didn't know they've outsourced in China. I'm just hoping they are still quality knives. :-[ I have bought the knife and just waiting for it to be delivered. I guess I'll just see.

Was at SMKW about 20 years ago. Very impressive! Also used to hit big gun & knife shows in the mid-Atlantic regions. Out here in Colorado there are no knife shops, and only one decent dealer at the big local show in Denver. Knife collecting is not a big hobby out west.

Its always chancy buying stag sight unseen, but took a gamble and it turned out very well.
Nice looking sowbelly!
Picked up this H&R Sowbelly Stockman with stag handles at a gun show down in Denver today.
They also feel comfortable in the hand. Remind me a bit of the way a Copperhead knife feels.

My only H&R, a 2000 as scripted on the blade.

I agree this thread needed a bump. Nice addition LC. Poncho has one heck of a collection of H&R.
That SOWBELLY is
Was looking for the Christy thread and saw that I had missed some activity in the H&R Thread :ahhhYou are welcome! And appreciate the compliment. At first I thought I had a good eye, but now KNOW, it was dumb luck I scored that H&R.
Great knife, LC  :like:
