Just got back from my trip and I'm glad to say that I didn't come back empty handed.
I was in a gunstore and was looking in the used stuff bin. I had just glanced at some junky multitool, when I noticed a schrade tough tool sheath. When I opened it up I was surprised to see what looked like a brand new gerber mpt with a $20 sticker on it. Needless to say I bought it on the spot. I have to say that this is a neat tool although it looks like the pst is still better. The only weird thing I noted on mine was that the knife blade doesn't stay open too well. It looks like the little spring tab is a little bent(I think it came from the factory that way because the blade looks new). Do you think I could remove the tools and bend the tab so it works well?

What is this? Everyone Except Nomad Gets an MPT week?
You want to fight me don't you?
You're saying these things just to make me angry!
Anyway - nice find - show us the pics!

Not everyone, I haven't bought one...yet! :D
Hopefully the one I'm watching will stay low enough for me.

How come I never find these deals?
Seriously congrats.

I just get lucky on these deals on occasion. One other thing I discovered is that it is real hard to reassemble the mpt. I took it apart to bend the spring but after getting it back together(and marring the screw head) I found out that I got nothing accomplished so I'm just going to call it quits before I break something. Man, taking this aprt and reasembling this makes taking apart the powerlock seem incredibly easy.

SoDak, how are you getting on with the MPT?
