Title: Decorating the entryway.
Post by: Chako on August 17, 2018, 01:45:29 PM
I found this beautiful pot holder around a year ago. I had it in storage until now. It was high time to put it in its place by the front entry. I had also bought a peace pipe for the shelf unit. Looks not bad if I do say so myself.

Oh?

I see! .

The artist did not tell me the type of wood...just that she made it for plants. Me, I saw it for something else.

I was going for a native american theme...or at least that is what first came into my mind when I saw the 2 beautiful buffalo and hoof print carvings.

Its a lovely carved piece.  The pipe works well with it especially with the theme of the carvings.

Very cool entryway decor, Chako! :like:

Now, next up, maybe something, that isn't a white rubbish bin, to hold those gorgeous walking sticks and canes?

An antique cut-open copper/brass fire extinguisher is a personal fave of mine for canes, umbrellas, and walking sticks. Though, you would need two or three of them. :ahhh

I did have a nice metal decorative vase but I soon outgrew that quickly. I bought the white plastic bin because it fit perfectly in the spot and it was also snow proof...as I do not have a mud room. The plastic is ideal as it won't harm the canes and staves.
