The Victorinox Fireman comes close. The Fox knife has a US style gutting blade.

I only have a Wenger Ranger and I don't hunt, but it has so many uses in the outdoors.

 It just dawned on me I don't have a hunting knife, 4" stockmans have always been my small game knives.

It's a gut hook, yes. To catch a bird, you only need a pinch of salt. Put it on the bird's tail, and you've got it.

The definition of hunting knife is vague. I used to go hunting with a SAK pruner, with the hooked blade, but I have also been with a sodbuster or a fixed blade.

People will go hunting with any knife.

Does it have to have a gutting hook/blade?

Does it have to be called one (SAK Huntsman, for example)?

Does it need to have a bone saw?  a bottle opener, a corkscrew?

does it need to have a certain "look" ?

I took some pictures of some hunting "style" folders yesterday, but did not post them as they are not specifically designed for that.

Great pictures people ! :)

IMO a hunting folder should have a gutting blade/hook. But some leniency won't do any harm.

I bought this 301 in 1995 as a replacement for my earlier 301, that was more or less used up and ground down from use.
It's cleaned rabbits, squirrels, quail, pheasants & field dressed deer. Lots of memories in this knife.

I don't own anything that cool.

I do,however,have some interesting multi-blade folders.

Here is one. This was commissioned by Thompson Center Arms and built by Puma. This #51 of only 250 made.

I have a Puma Game Warden that was made prior to 1964.It was the first knife I bought with my own money and I still have it.

One of the nicest multi-blade hunters I've seen, congrats Ron.

This one was made in Italy by Fox & Hound. It has a locking main blade, gutting blade and a saw.

The shibboleth on the blade reads: Just Another Day-N-The Woods.
