I was going to ask what was the green liner in the black handled 58mm Vic and then I saw all the luminous stuff .......

How is that done???
Is it just a luminous material charged up or is there some sort of power source.

It's a luminous piece. Made like moon glow. I believe it's g10

Practicing with an older climber. Gluing wood to a knife and shaping it was far easier than I imagned. Now the real trick will be copper liners and my signature stonewash treatment.

First is a WIP cadet with 91mm scissors and black G10 Liners and filler. G10 is far superior to the stock liners in my opinion offering extreme stiffness. I've used it on a ton of builds. The scissors were a pain and not a process I think I'd like to repeat but much cheaper than the alternative!

Needed to add the 84MM file into a 93mm. Left as is the file nail nick would sit well below the scale. This was the best solution for me. Made a little brass stop by drilling a hole into the spring rest vertical and tapping brass into the hole horizontally. Perfect fit.

Practicing with an older climber. Gluing wood to a knife and shaping it was far easier than I imagned. Now the real trick will be copper liners and my signature stonewash treatment.
How will you be able to do that now that the scales are glued on? Or we're you kidding?

Steve, I learned with advice from the best. Seriously thanks for always lending a hand. Riveting is far more work than the torx and I really enjoy it. I'm sure with more practice it might get easier.

I intend to use the smurf out of mine when it gets here.
Prolly what is happening is you are seeing people post up pics of there new SAKs before they go out and use them.

Seems to me like a cheap shot at Syph007, ALM and other makers who make their own scales. Not a very nice way to start a year. :td:
